RE: Q and A for shareholders18 Dec 2025 20:07
This is just to give experience of AGMs of two other companies I am invested in . Please I do not want people telling me what an idiot I am.
STCM
Cement manufacturer based in Kazakhstan. Used to pay a dividend but because of tax reasons changed it to a capital return. I believe the plant is worth more than the market cap but price seems to move in line with 'divi' . Will take divi till takeover or revaluation. Good management IMO
The holding company is in Kuala Lumpur and at AGM they offer shareholder a dial in facility timed to fit in with UK. Never used it as have faith in management.
NEXN
Was on AIM now on Nasdaq. Israeli based company. Perhaps my biggest punt been up down and all over the place. I do not trust the CEO takes millions in options, and buys them back with buybacks. Based in USA now, but AgM is 30/12/25 in Tel Aviv. Better than Newcastle?. Good thing is it's main shareholder (Mitaq 30% ish)is finally voting against continuing the gravy train for the CEO and voting out 8 of the 10 directors. Have voted myself but no online access to AGM. Interesting times here.
That's just for info
Most of my shares are safer Honest!
I am in the Newcastle area (Gateshead - South Shields) around 29/12 visiting family, but as I see them rarely I will not be able to attend AGM. I have voted though.
