If you wanted to make money quick, you are in the wrong place. Never thought I would be here a year later with nothing to show. However If I looked at HUM with fresh eyes today I would still definitely invest.

Agree its the first step Tom, but a very important one, and as I say Russia has done this too. Stranglehold not Stronghold. Still the sentiment of the post fits. Circa 10 years, yuan could be the world currency to exchange.

Been going on for a while now. BRICS countries looking to move ahead with gold backed currency. China has broken the dollar stranglehold by doing a deal with the Saudis for oil bought in yuan. Russia has done a deal to buy in rubels. The contract just hasn't started yet. Repatriation of gold has increased massively in the last two years. Got to ask yourself why.

Looking forward to it. Amazed people selling today. Probably because of the slight drop. Maybe some stop losses triggered.

We all need a little tummy tickle now and again. With my stocks, it's a regular requirement. At the end of the day, only risk what you can afford to lose.

I can understand that, but with due process in place and at the moment observed to be working I am optimistic this will be sorted and in a short space of time. Its also not on the radar of the SP at the moment as no value is given for this part of the project. As and when it is sorted then whatever happens with Dugbe sell off or JV will have a positive effect on HUM's value. If on the down side nothing happened with Dugbe, then there is no impact on HUM and in that respect as gold is a dwindling resource and political landscapes change, the value in Dugbe could be realised at a much later date. Left on the back burner so to speak.

Yesterdays news, already being dealt with. Just the final rounds of negotiations. Its right that whoever is in the seat at the head of the table tries to get the best deal for the people, in particular with regards to community projects and employment. HUM have been brilliant on both those fronts, and I'm confident through the next and final round of negotiation they will see this ratified by the parliament/president.

I too have recently bought in at circa 29p so down 30%. But I always tell people a loss is only a loss when you sell.
Its not great looking at it when its down, but that's part of the journey. If you believe in the stock and nothing fundamentally has changed then ride it out and maybe even buy more on the dips.
For me this is a side bet to my main investment elsewhere. However as you, I liked the idea of being invested in a solution to the plastic problem. FWIW I think your point has value, but overall I think a small number will look at alternative to plastic, but when the news gets out that there is a real, little to no cost solution to the problem, we will be invested in the right place.
