Lets be clear, this company was on the brink of collapsing and had been written off by many.

Though the refinancing isnt ideal, it has shown that investors have confidence in this company and has secured their future.

This is why people are now piling back in!

This has a lot to make up from what the share price was recently and its going to make a lot of people who are buying in now, very rich!

Totally off topic, but what are your thoughts on Tullow being a take over target?

Were under financial pressure with a significant net debt (around US$1.5-2 billion in recent reports)

Kosmos Energy was in preliminary talks for an all-share takeover of Tullow Oil in late 2024. But those talks ended.

There were also merger discussions between Tullow and Meren Energy (formerly Africa Oil Corp) that reportedly collapsed in mid-2025.

Management change & strategic refocus

New CEO, a focus on deleveraging, clearer core assets might make it easier for a buyer to see a path forward to generate value. When a company is “cleaning up” itself, it often precedes an acquisition.
