The charts mean very little in Mks case, this is new territory as it enters ftse100, if you review the top 10 investors over last 20 days you will see a set of complete change in ownership values.
Institutional ownership of Mks is now 71%, they control most of the sp movements, they have really good entry points.
I think the Mks sp movement over last 20 days is all filling the ftse100 tracker institutional sacks at the right prices.
The availability of Mks stock is tightening still and mm moving price to find auto sells.
Bee hi,
I wouldn’t waste your time with 4%, maybe if that’s your aspirations you should head to a savings account.
Mks is a long stock and with a year or two waiting time.
Mks needs to shift from some institutional holders to private individuals., it needs a lot more than 30% of current split.
The 70% institutional hold has changed hands between them over last month since ftse100 was in sight, Blackrock have taken a much larger holding for example. Depending which tracker their individual strategies.
I’m sure Mks can regularly post £400+ M net profit and therefore demand a fairly secure 14X PE
I would imagine some useful press for Mks over this long weekend in UK and good world coverage on the business section.
Mks only has Tuesday to trade as Monday closed/maintain circa 4.3 b £ to Confirm its relevance within russell 100 list.
Have a great weekend all
Toffeecris,
Yesterday the vol of shares traded reached circa 4.2 m
6m you refer is £ not shares, and collective auction vol at average price
Mks averages 7.37 m daily trades anyway so lower vol yesterday, this is hols etc and all quite normal.
It appears the major tracker exchanges from ftse250 to 100 have been done for now, hence the quiet day yesterday, but a lot more to come next week and prob off book.
The larger trades that look like buys based on sp at the trade times (although they don’t have to register at the time of trade) are being coded as ‘unknowns’
All day long as I look through.
But at the end of the day the Market cap must reflect the value held in shares it’s cash, let’s see what that is.

DIVIDEND
We suspended dividend payments at the start of the pandemic to protect our balance sheet. This enabled us to invest in our transformation priorities and trusted value. With the business generating an improved operating performance and having a strengthen balance sheet with credit metrics consistent with investment grade, the Board plans to restore a modest annua dividend to our shareholders starting with an interim dividend at the results in November.

Exceptional words from Mks! Great news for their bonus and FTSE 100, I am pleasantly surprised, very fortuitous timing, well done to all holders here and to the team at Mks,
Says it all.

That’s good if basket size is larger than average.
I don’t believe Mks will make ftse100 by 18/8, it would need a M/cap of 4.4/4.5 bil £.
Based on its current performance and wider market holiday mode it’s treading water, although as I type Mks is starting a new bullish phase.
Let’s see

I don’t think those dates have changed.
