Q: I have a normal stocks and share account, with a large chunk of RR's shares, every year I do a bed&ISA up to 24K, 4K I take out and pay tax rest, 20k I buy back RR shares in the ISA

Is there an other way to take larger chunks out and minimise tax (sorry if its a silly Q) I thought I could do a Bed and SIPP?? Pay tax when I withdraw later . What have others done??

I got itchi feet this morning, I sold the lot, I'm happy with my profit of 26%.

There are too many unknowns here and no good news. I have gone with my gut instinct on this one now. Don't normally, Utilising assets is essential in all companies, I question a US firm wo wants to takeover a UK airline. If they want it to takeover and asset strip or move assets around, a loss of jobs follow. Growth strategy in Q?

Morrisons is owned by the US private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) since 2021. In 2022 they bought McColls stationary, and this is resulting in 100 planned stores to close, whats that about, poor strategy plannning or is it planned asset stripping ????

This time last year this share was £5.43 and 5 years ago was £9.58. Takeover has helped recover from the US/IRAN war fast, in the last 4 weeks espeically. It's now factored in. The lowest price last year and before the war was £4.50. A good gain for some if you got in at £3.39. Nothing you do not already know. Irrespective of the take over this share should reach £6+ soon.

I'm holding. Plus, personally I really like this company, staff are so friendly.

£8 would still be cheap, looking back, this share price currently is well under half of what it was in Dec 31st 2019, £14.24. Looking back even further share price operated over £10.00 since 2013 consistently. This share price is only going one way. Happy Holding Everyone. Chill and watch. LOL

Love it, so glad I did not sell on Friday, I was wrong about the takeover though. But personally I do not think Sir Stelios will wish for a takeover, this is his baby, you never know, he only owns 15%.

I am holding all the way to £6 ish, where this should be, although be a little rocky till an agreement is reached between IRAN and US. Good luck to all the holders, def a stock that's only going one way

They just need to priorities opening The Strait of Hormuz first and agree a cease fire of 60/90 days and revisit outstanding areas during the cease fire, more time is needed, cant agree it all in one day/week.

OMG please encourage investors, oil is down below a dollar, cost of fuel is coming down, strikes already factored in current price otherwise it would have taken a nose dive by now, analysis indicates a buy/hold. its not an other RR but it is a bargain, 52 week range was 330 to 590. Well said. I have three stocks, as I like to not have too many in the same basket, got IAG, Centrica and RR, wish I had the most in RR. I bought in at 107 and not planning to sell, tempted to but, the % increase has been outstanding and believe it has much more to go. CEO is remarkable, company is well managed, products are sought after by many governments/countries. I am in for the long term.
