Its very likely to be temporary NSS, but the downward pull of the wider market on a day like this cannot be understimated.

In a price-shock, fund managers sometimes arent fussy what they sell, especially if they have to cover redemptions. If there are profits to be taken they will often withdraw to their bunkers and wait for the dust to settle

The wider world will be starting to worry about the effect on inflation and global trade.

At the end of the day though, HBR will still be pumping oil and gas into a higher price environment......

My god, I dont kmow if I can handle the excitement of another IM presentation lol. Any chance they could hire a celeb to do all the talking? Danny Dyer perhaps? No scub that.....Sidney Sweeney would at least make me happy :-)

You are perhaps getting Issued shares and market cap confused?

Issued shares is 1.579bn (excluding Letterones pref shares I think)

Market Cap is around the 4.2bn you quote

Being an ace trader Utah, you know full well the answer to that question before you asked it. However.....

MMs in a reltively illiquid stock like SAR wouldnt normally take that many shares in one hit, because they might get stuck with them. Try selling over 100k or even 50k using an online platform and you will often get no quote. Even using a broker, that many shares often needs to be a worked order

For them to take all of them in one hit, at a price that isnt painful, suggests those shares already have a prospective home

Yes its a worldwide awful day, but you may not have noticed how they have widened the spread today and this has magnified the % drop. Thats not an excuse its a fact. The offer price has only dropped .11 its the bid thats done the damage on a day they would have anticipated selling

Current actual spread is 15.51 to 16.00 with AJBells

Unfortunately, in a stock that is normally thinly traded like ORCA we will have some larger holders who will use bursts of volume like today to sell shares they might not ordinarily be able to. I personally think its Woodland Capital, but it doesnt really matter as long the trend remains up and ourt story continues to spread to new buyers

I totally agree smkr but all that was known at 8am, and nothing really happened . I guess ORCA is just playing catch to the wider sector in the absence of anything company specific

Only the trades at 15.1 or below are sells. A couple of reasonable buys, but overall low volume

Hi mate. Wasnt saying it wasnt going to rise considerably further, but their instant decision to raise production has perhaps made traders think a bit. If oil is on its way to 80, 90 or higher, probably better it does it in a controlled fashion.

The slightly muted reaction probably due to OPEC+ rushing to turn on the taps by 206k bpd. Not a huge hike, but sends a signal that they want this to be a controlled rise, rather than 'spikey'.

Oh yeah the actual up move on the day is 2.8p higher than shown as they are measuring it from a very good closing auction yesterday

Well my preference is 235 but that makes no odds really. This afternoons dip below that level folllowed by a healthy rebound could well count as a retest of previous resistance now support.

With Brent now at $72 a very strong chart move may occur
