I have just read that axa have stopped underwriting new oil and gas fields and will only continue with present gas companies if they have a credible plan for greening . I know there is a lot of concern about global warming but countries like india using gas is a godsend for people who are using dry animal dung burnt indoors for cooking and heating . Rates of child mortality are improving with india's use of natural and bottled gas .

Just thinking aloud thats all , just seems like a lot of asset for a little market cap .

And the beauty of the exploration is the access and option to cherry pick from the masses of seismic data , that is going to save some time .

Does anybody think a takeover could be in the offing ?.

Well that seems like a solid foundation for tomorrow and the rest of the week . The more i have read this week the more i have come to firmly believe that Indus and Focus are embedded in the gas and oil industry in rajasthan and are unlikely to be going anywhere soon . imho.

I was meaning an increase in wells and production over say 12months , but to be honest i would accept an avalanche of hype and ramping , ;)

I don't think the company has actually said when the application was submitted ?, unless i'm missing something .

According to one of the policy documents on this page the application for extension should be made two years prior to end of contract date .https://mopng.gov.in/en/exp-and-prod/psc

If you were the indian gas regulator dealing with shortages and outages , increasing supply demand and trying to drag a lot of your country into the 21st century, would you chose to extend a contract to a proven , compliant contractor of 25years or decide to deal with all the extra work involved and the upheaval to the gas business of installing a new contractor ???. Cairn experienced some problems in recent history , sued the government , high court ordered indian gov. to make a timely decision on contract extension and cairn got the extension pretty quickly , precedent set !?

I don't want to pee on anyones chips and i believe anything could happen here , positive or negative , but i was very keen on copl , so i keep my enthusiasm tempered . Hopefully tiger is right , but the word is "hopefully". good luck to all .

Tiger, don't take this the wrong way but you have had these feelings a few times now , lol . I get the impatience and the enthusiasm but the truth still remains , we know nothing !? , patience is needed :)
