Bacefook - It's amazing how many on here won't see positive news, even if it slapped them in the face! This is 100% positive and all genuine holder will be rewarded.. Regardless the scale of reward, which can be debated.. rewarded none the less :)
Gents, thanks for the feedback.
Good point about the earn-out structure.
However, re. "cost of digging the stuff out of the ground" etc, using this basic methodology for estimating company value, costs for extraction (& even general company expenses) are not required to be taken into consideration.. Granted, you may wish to include these factors to be satisfied you've estimated the value as accurate as possible. However, you would do this using a different methodology to the one I've stated (taking into account many different factors). The method I stated was more of a dummy's guide to valuation / "rule of thumb" .. (btw you don't necessarily need to have huge profit margins to be considered a multi-billion pound company).
Also note, I did not take into consideration our current assets, which I feel puts it more on the conservative side.
IMHO of course
I'm going to work this out on here, for those who don't deem Maths their strong point (and also for myself of course).
"Total of 104.6 Moz Platinum equivalent resources" .
- So today's price for Platinum is $1,174.81 per Oz.. Converted to GPB is £852.26 per Oz.
- £852.26 x 104,600,000 Oz = £89,146,396,000 (£89.6 Billion)
The RNS states the deal is to own 75% of this, so:
£89,146,396,000 x 0.75 = £66,859,797,000 (£66.8 Billion)
So, going by today's rate for Platinum, not considering future rise due to demand (and therefore a conservative estimate!), THE DEAL IS WORTH £66.8 Billion.. Wow, I'm thrilled with this. Well done everyone!! :)
One thing to factor in of course is the length of time it'll take to mine this. So lets say it takes 20 years as an example (I'm guessing this is reasonable for most?!).. That's £3.3 Billion a year.
I'm not so sure how the above will translate into our new Mcap, because they're different metrics for valuing companies.. but if we were to do a basic valuation of 5x year earnings, this would value us at approx £16.7 Billion (i.e. a SP of £6.05).
This is all without a FSA of our existing assets, which may well be likely :) Well done all who have held through the ups and downs, it's been a hell of a Journey!
Do you reckon it'll make the 20's? With the UK still on track for reopening, it's only Europe that'll effect us really.. so depends how much of a factor Europe is vs UK. I've got 5k landing in my ISA tomorrow (last top up before end of the tax year) but undecided at the moment whether to put more in here or SYME..
HL website -
You can use investments from your Fund and Share Account to open or top up an ISA or SIPP. This is sometimes called a Bed and ISA or Bed and SIPP. Due to our COVID-19 service changes, we are not currently able to do this for you. Instead you can sell investments in your Fund and Share account online, and move the money to your ISA or SIPP. You can then reinvest the cash.
"And it will take him no time at all to discover that snt were trading at 0.1375 before a rather large consolidation to make the share price seem more attractive."
Seem more attractive? lol.. Future investors / business partners won't give a toss want the SP used to be before consolidation. Maybe you should look into the benefits of consolidating shares - It's not just about impressions lol. There are reasons why it's more attractive for investors. What the SP was prior to consolidation is therefore irrelevant.
Wolf - I don't want seem one of those who throws out silly numbers for the sake of it, but bags from here IMO :) Upcoming share consolidation will attract more investors and likely give us a leg-up too.
If you can spare some time, it's worthwhile checking out their website and having a good read though previous RNS's.
SoY - True but you need to remember their Market Cap after the rise is only 1m (~250k beforehand).. so you can see why such news would have a more volatile effect - Our Mcap is 5m.
Don't worry though, our time is coming!
A lot to look forward to here, even just over the coming weeks / months :)
- Small Mcap (huge potential)
- BOD's are considerate of shareholder value - Good Cash management
- Winning government contracts
- Green energy sector
What's not to like. A lot more people will start to clock on to this share, glad I got in when I did!

Thanks all. Just echoing of my current thoughts to be honest! Unfortunately, all of my holdings are in my trading account, so I could be down for a big tax bill.. but guess rather that than miss out all together.
Bumble - that's a much better idea doing it in chunks! If I was to take the risk, that's how I'd do it. However, I am somewhat reluctant . Just a weigh up in risk between the CGT bill and missing out
I got in the other week at 21p (tactfully just before plans for lifting of lockdown were announced) and don't intend to let these go for any less than £1.
My guess (based on last year) is we'll be between 50-60p when lockdown is lifted, but this time we'll continue the climb upwards.

I promised myself I wouldn't be investing anymore until next month, however...lol after a bit of research and seeing the potential here I couldn't resist (don't tell my Mrs!). Took a small'ish position here today at 0.1278. The green energy market is huge and the investments the company have made tell me they are looking to be a big player. Multi-bags from here IMHO. Good luck everyone :)
