RE: How things change...question for Mr Myrtle18 Jun 2020 23:10
Mr. S - I just realised today that I made a mistake with the Golden Cross.. I had inadvertently used the 100 day instead of the 200 day on my chart.. so it was the 50-day crossing the 100 day I saw.. Still technically a significant Golden Cross, but not the 'Golden' Golden Cross if you get my drift! The 50/100 cross is still significant and it happened yesterday, which would have helped with that surge, and maybe even in to today's rise again.
As for the 50/200 cross, well, the 50 day hasn't fallen below the 200 since the 19th Feb, which triggered a prompt rally from 4.77p to 6.67p in the next two days.. The fact the 50 day has stayed above the 200 all this time is positive and the 50 day in now starting to steeply follow the share price rise.
16.67p has been the resistance today again, I sold 30,000 at 16.50p this morning and bought them back in two lots at 14.15p and 13.27p. I will be looking to sell them over 16.5p again tomorrow morning probably. If we do get through 16.7p, which could well happen if the FOMO chasing continues, then 17.5p and 18p could be hit very quickly. Then 20p and 26p are huge targets.. Let's hope it does get there, the missus is eyeing up a SMEG fridge for the new house for Β£1500... :-)
As for today's action, great start, very quick slide as the MMs screwed around with the bid, widening the spread to over 10% at times, disgusting that they are allowed to get away with that and not be limited to how wide a spread can be. Once they tagged the trendline that can be drawn from Monday's close through Tuesday and Wednesday's lows around 12.30p it started to stabilise and recover, trending up along the trendline in to the close, and a nice little jump in the closing auction. After what was looking like some very ugly hourly and daily candles, we had a great close with another up day.
The candle ended up being a big spinning top, which is hard to read, but in an uptrend it can be either a pause before continuing higher (hopefully) or it could signal a pause before a reversal.. I guess we'll find out tomorrow..
