They’re going to have to get a wriggle on as it starts on Friday supposedly.
If Ofcom give “Project Equinox” the green light and they sell Bt Sport at a decent price they may even speed up the full fibre roll out? Who knows.
I would have thought there would have been some movement on BT sport before the CL group stages?

I think if an offer of £3 a share came in for BT it would have to be rebuffed by the BT board by saying it fails to reflect the current and future value of BT.
It’s difficult to tally it up EE was bought for £12.5 bn or £1.25/a share but EE is far more profitable now. Openreach was muted to be somewhere in the region of £25 bn or £2.50/ a share so that’s £3.75 a share without the other parts of BT ??? Add in the streamlining, back office redundancy, reduction in offices to 30 maybe lower post pandemic and that a premium is normally paid. Gawd only knows.
This is quite old but refers to the benefits of an all IP network to DT.

Yip yip sounds feasible DT wouldn’t really have an interest in openreach particularly when fibre install is completed. A nice pan European telecoms company that can be run remotely.
On bt sport the main group stage games of the champions league start on the 14th of September, it would be nice to have an update by then.
I personally believe Drahi wants openreach and project equinox goes live 1st Oct if Ofcom give the green light. That’s 10 years of decent returns more or less baked in.
Interesting couple of months coming up.
Draggi can’t make an approach until Christmas unless another player comes in. Under these circumstances he can make offers I believe.
All helps to reduce the deficit

City fibre had a noticeable presence in solihull upto a few weeks ago it feels like they have up sticks and gone??
It looks like project equinox has em really rattled!

Nobody puts Crozier in the corner! $hite, wrong film. Lol
Is Qatar money going to buy this?
Next time it rains go out and drink the “free” water from a puddle see how well you feel.
Are the vultures circling again??
I believe the emotion you are experiencing is called
schadenfreude.
*Murdoch
Murdock eh, wow

Yes hence the phrase "I still believe DT are keeping their powder dry until after the redundancies are all done" my conjecture (and lets be honest, thats what this board is) is that following the cost cutting and realisation of the circa £2Bn of yearly savings or more given Jansen's past history the BT share price would be in a far stronger position than it is today. Merging companies dont have to have exactly equal market cap to do so. In any case im happy with the recent run.
