If it were not for Brexit you and a couple of others on this board would have boring lives, for yours seems to revolve around Brexit. Scanning Media channels for any thing negatives to find, but ignoring the plus points or the state of the individual nations. I know regret voting to eave, the movement to the right as the media describes the political movement, or just common sense as I would call it, that I find ATTRACTIVE.

I could even vote to re-join if this keeps up, lest hope so.

You are correct on Canada,

I was speaking to my brother inlaw over in Toronto a few days ago he has been there most of his life left here at 19years and is now 74yrs of age. For so many years all he had was praise for the country, but his stance as been changing over the last few years. Now he says it is a dump compared with what it was.

Once a relatively peaceful country as was ours, now crime ridden with a shortage of housing high rents no hope. Long waiting times in hospital A&E and shortages of beds .

They have of course committed the same mistakes as we and other European countries, I think anyone can guess what those mistakes are if they are honest.

One remarkable thing stands out Canada never left the EU !

The coal mines, railways and ship yards were privatised for one reason, all had been ground into the dirt by over 5 years of war work, 5 years in which they had all been worked 24/7 from Sept 1939 until August 1945.

Little maintenance, working 24/7, they were shot, kaput and knackered , the post war government thought privatisation was the cheaper option than reimbursing their owners .

As I have asked before why did Labour never undo what the Tories did.

Why did the Tories not undo Labours policies.

And this women has been ever so vocal in her anti-right-to buy stance.

Both parties are playing the electorate for fools.

Every day after their play time in the Chamber , that is of course those that bother to turn up for work .They all meet for a good chat and a laugh in the subsidised bars. They go home to their tax payer subsidised homes feeling well after their subsidised food and booze.

On the topic of immigrant harbouring landlords .

I have actually some insight into the situation.

Most immigrants are housed in either council housing or Housing associations .

Others are housed by immigrant landlords whom like Homes of multiple occupancy, ie houses converted to 1 bed rooms with shared kitchens and bathrooms.

In parts of the London Asians enclaves converted sheds in their back gardens etc are used to house illegals.

The establishment know this, as there was a TV report on this several years back, but of course nothing happened.

Very few none Asian landlords house that many immigrants, being a landlord myself I do have some insight.

And I did carryout work for one of the countries largest Housing Associations about 20 years ago and the fraud by immigrants was truly eye opening .
