I’m just loading up whilst it’s nice and quiet. And will be doing it more and more if it does fall further.
Financial performance
“Turnover in the twelve months to 31 March 2020 increased to £416k (£241k : 2019). This resulted in a gross profit of £26k (£145k : 2019).”
Achieving recent gross profits of £26,000. Very impressive share price movements nonetheless!
Perfect Denn92. Need more impatient investors to sell so I can fill some more cheap buy orders. Thanks.
Ah, well spotted. Apologies for any potentially misleading info.
It must be a direct sales team in India oppose to a manufacturing facility.
As per previous RNS. June 2017. There may well be further info on this.
“Pune manufacturing facility”
“We made a significant amount of progress during the year with our manufacturing facility in Pune, India.”
“In January, we announced that we received certificates of accreditation from BSI confirming our Quality Management System is compliant with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003. In March, we confirmed the facility underwent an annual inspection from the Indian FDA, confirming that the facility is compliant with GMP processes for manufacturing, testing, storage and QA, and that we were issued with a manufacturing licence which is valid until January 2021.”
Someone will have to explain to me what there is to be nervous about in that case? Before I hoover up more shares prior to contracts and final approvals.
On the antibody test alone:
“According to the government plans, the tests will be first distributed to healthcare professionals before being rolled out across the country for people to use at home.
Last month, Abingdon Health, a member of the UK-RTC, said that the consortium is working with NHSX to develop a test-specific app and digital service that will facilitate use and reading of the test device.
The company also revealed that critical planning around supply chain logistics was also well underway.” - this was 20th July, we know the tests can now be used by healthcare professionals.
And as written above; just waiting on these trials from Ulster to show the tests are simple to use alongside the final approvals and it’ll be good to go. In the meantime Omega are in the process of ramping up manufacturing capacity ready for the nod.
All you need is some patience because when the news lands oh you’ll be paying a pretty penny to get these shares.
“These scientists, part of the Technological Transfer Unit (UTT) of the Hospital Carlos III, have worked hard to achieve a test that, according to their estimates, has a reliability of between 75% and 90% , "something incredible to use saliva as a source of information ”.
Really does just go to show what’s been achieved by the U.K. RTC. With a device which has been tested to be over 99% accurate.
Yet I still have to read complaints about what’s been achieved to date.
57.90 finish? Good week considering no updates.
See what next week brings.
Firstly, a vaccine is excellent news for the antibody tests... because if successful antibodies must provide immunity.
But also:
“If the vaccines are proven to be safe and effective they could be delivered to the UK in the middle of next year.”
Almost 1 year before a vaccine is reached at the earliest. That’s a whole lot of testing even prior to a possible vaccine.
I’m fighting back the urge for yet another buy this morning. Lots of recent positives for me recently:
- Recent study found “Antibodies were found in almost all (96%) of those who had a previous infection confirmed by a swab test.” - I thought antibodies faded quicker than what is suggested here.
- “According to the vaccine’s Russian-language registration certificate, 38 participants who received one or two doses of the vaccine had produced antibodies against SARS-CoV-2’s spike protein, including potent neutralizing antibodies that inactivate viral particles.” - not that it would be going anywhere near me, but seems to be developing the same spike protein which the antibody test is testing for. Reinforcing the connections between antibody tests and vaccines.
- Abingdon Health -“ Due to significant demand for our lateral flow development and manufacturing services we are recruiting for experienced scientists with immunoassay and preferably lateral flow development”. Demand for the products was obvious but nice to see consortium members stating it.
- Also starting to notice new companies commencing antibody test developments. Likely as the importance continues to grow and become recognised with each study which is carried out.
That bodes very well for Omega. Excellent.
Intraday RNS?

“Almost everyone with a confirmed case of the virus was found to have antibodies (96%).“
Just been reading through the comments on a social
Media post by the department of Health and Social
care regarding the donation of blood plasma.
Doesn’t take much reading to see the public as a whole are crying out for the antibody tests.
These tests which are 99.40% accurate a going to be simply gold dust.
Looks as though this is going to get played around until there’s news on orders.
I’ll be back once the £1 is broken.

I agree in that currently, competition for tests is not an issue. Further down the line its likely only the best tests will be used. However given timescales for approvals and the size of the market I suspect this may be a long while yet.
However, for all we don’t know how long antibodies provide immunity. I don’t think this has any potential negative impact on the antibody test. In fact they are likely increasingly important as a method of checking current immunity. The shorter the duration which antibodies last, the more frequent tests will likely be used. IMO.
This is beyond all the current uses already established.
