Pnu Power order from the European Commission's Institute for Energy
Energetix Group plc, (AIM: EGX), which develops and commercialises alternative and efficient energy products, announces that its subsidiary Energetix (Pnu) Power Limited ("the Company") has received an order from The Institute for Energy of the Joint Research Centres of the European Commission for a compressed air battery system.
The Institute for Energy will initially use a 1kW unit to evaluate the compressed air battery technology for domestic applications.
The mission of the Institute of Energy is to provide support to Community policies related to both nuclear and non nuclear energy in order to ensure sustainable, safe, secure and efficient energy production, distribution and use.
The Institute for Energy has locations in Holland and Italy and employs approximately 300 academic and support staff. Its activities include sustainable transport, renewable energy, sustainable nuclear, economic assessment, biofuels, fuel cells, clean fossil fuels, energy efficiency and security of supply.
