WH Ireland kept its "buy" rating for Renew Holdings (RNWH) with a 125p target price. The broker is impressed by the strong contribution the AMCO acquisition has made to the engineering services firm, growing earnings by 50% and increasing its exposure to the attractive markets of power, energy and environment. On WH Ireland's forecasts the shares trade on a prospective earnings multiple of just 6 times for the financial year ending 30th September, while offering a dividend yield of 4.3%. The shares fell by 1.5p to 68p

Investec Securities reiterated its "buy" recommendation for WH Smith (SMWH) with an increased target price of 615p, up from 528p. The high street retailer achieved 3% pre-tax profit growth in its first half to 66 million pounds, with the broker noting strong cash generation of 63 million pounds and a 15% increase in the dividend. Investec sees the company's Travel division as its primary source for growth as markets recover. WH Smith shares declined by 9p to 533p.

Jeff Harris, a Non-Executive Director at WH Smith, purchased 10,000 shares in the stationery and book retailer on Friday, one day after the firm’s interim results. Harris, currently the Chairman of FTSE 250 speciality plastic and fibre products supplier Filtrona who joined WH Smith’s board in June of last year, paid 533p per share bringing the total transaction value to £53,300. Following the purchase, he holds a 0.008% stake in WH Smith. On Thursday, the group reported that like-for-like (LFL) and total sales fell in both its main divisions in the six months to the end of February but profits were up. Total sales were £665m (2011: £686m) with LFL sales down 5%

Hornby Plc - Year End Trading Update Hornby Plc, the international models and collectibles group, is today updating shareholders on trading ahead of its Preliminary Results for the year ended 31 March 2012, which are expected to be announced on 8 June 2012. The Board expects to report underlying pre-tax profits for the period, subject to audit, of not less than £4.5 million. Following the January update, trading in the final quarter of the financial year to 31 March 2012 has remained muted. 532MW Expansion of Tihama Power Sites in Saudi Arabia 23 April 2012 ‐ GDF SUEZ and International Power (70% owned by GDF SUEZ) are pleased to announce the expansion of their Tihama power sites in Saudi Arabia following an award from Saudi Aramco. Long-term Energy Conversion Agreements (offtake contracts) through to 2026 have been signed for this expansion. The expansion will take place at three of the four existing sites and will generate additional capacity of 532MW and 2,210GJ/h of steam. Following the expansion, Tihama will have a total capacity of 1,595MW and 8,112GJ/h of steam. The ownership structure of the expansion is the same as the existing Tihama project, which is 60% owned by International Power and 40% by Saudi Oger. In 2003, International Power and Saudi Oger were originally awarded four 20-year Energy Conversion Agreements by Saudi Aramco to develop, own and operate the four cogeneration plants, which are located at Saudi Aramco's gas and oil refineries. The total project cost for the expansion is estimated to be approximately US$430 million (€326 million), which is being funded by a mix of debt and equity in an 80:20 ratio. Full financial close of the project is anticipated shortly. The expansion programme is expected to complete by 2015.
