A positive update from where I'm sitting, but disappointed there's no mention of the African airport contract that's been signed by WSG but is languishing somewhere in the heat and dust. Roll on Tema - let's get this sp flying.
Ditto PurleyKing's post. A few years ago I read a link from this BB written by a market maker, but I've never seen a book exposing all the shenanigans of MMs. Must be like the Mafia, reveal the dark secrets of the MMs and you'll find a horse's head in your bed. Anyone know of a book written by an ex-MM?
The three big sells today were all within half an hour of each other. Final flurry in a hurry to get out? As the sp is rising, if there are no more big sells this afternoon then I reckon that could signal CC are fully out.
Fwiw I agree re Iran and the agreement. Trump was wrong. He's a lose cannon.
Re Netanyahu: he shouldn't be in power but - like Trump, Kim Jong Un, Xi Jinping - he is. God help us.
Re Lehi: Oh, you mean like the IRA in Ireland. Rofl
So, no, not deluded. Just well-informed.
Ah! I see the Corbynites are showing their true colours.
Anyway, the focus on here is that we have a team working their socks off in Ghana to show the maritime world that WSG has a superb security system and we have a CFO who is in final negotiations over there to set the company's best deal so far. We'll know the result of those negotiations before the end of this month. Then we'll await the first big deal to come out of Saudi Arabia . . . and maybe, just maybe, East Africa as well :)
etin: you've got it back to front. Iran's objective since 1948 has been to blow the nation of Israel out of existence (it's happening on a daily basis but we don't hear about it in the West). Iran are the aggressors, as is being shown by their actions in the Gulf. We're best off out of it.
Foxy: In sheer frustration, I quizzed PF about that in an email weeks before the AGM. I suggested the African airport in question was just going through the motions to satisfy the ICAO and was delaying any action as long as possible.
He didn't reply. Understandably.
Since then, of course, PF has partially explained that the airport authority involved is sorting other issues which don't involve security . . . but it certainly affects the implementation of our security system. Can't say I'm really bothered about it now. Hopefully, by the end of this month the SP will be somewhere north of 50p on Tema news.
In all the excitement re the flurry of RNSs I missed this bit. Emphasis is mine:
"We have ALREADY HELD joint meetings with both port and airport authorities within the country and further meetings are being organised."
I wonder how many port and airport authorities in KSA PF and TB have been talking to and, more importantly, will our hearts last out until 2020 with all this excitement. What am I going to do when I eventually sell up here (above £2) and begin suffering withdrawal symptoms. Perhaps we ought to think about starting an ex-WSG LTHs board on LSE?
It's prudent to be sceptical on these boards, but there's enough bad manners in this world without being downright nasty to one another. Good manners cost nothing, as the old saying goes . . . but maybe some of you aren't old enough to remember the "old" sayings :)
