Point 2 is exceptionally relevant Mike when we consider that SL now has a different government. Knowing the instability among so many African regimes it's good to know WSG still stands in good stead. We must be doing something right!
Having come through the devastation of ebola, they knew exactly what to do. And credit to WSG; not only did the company stand by SL during that epidemic but they're doing it again now with the gift of a sanitary gate at Lungi. As Gibbo observed, great PR and in line with the company's humanitarian ethos.
Development proceeding here six months after a BOT agreement was signed. I wonder if our JV partners have have our fingers in this pie - capacity will be more than double Tema.

Despite the pandemic, Tema looks on course to complete one million TEUs by year end.
"The General Manager in charge of Corporate Planning, Samuel Ntow-Kummi, said investments made in Ghana’s ports over recent years are geared towards growing the cargo traffic by the end of the year, 2020.
“Containers measured in TEUs have been growing steadily over the last 4-5 years. We hit the psychological threshold of 1 million TEUs in 2018. Thankfully this year, it is projected that we will still hit that psychological threshold,” he revealed.
He said the 50 percent expected decline in cargo traffic particularly through the Port of Takoradi is due to the negative consequences of COVID-19 on oil and gas sector as well as the capping of manganese exports by government."

Hi Mike! Hope ur well. As Johnjojim pointed out, the website gives only arrivals, so some technicality getting in the way there. When Lungi re-opened PF said most activity resulted from people returning to SL. I think by now arrivals and departures have petty much balanced out.
https://www.freetown-airport.com/airport_passengers.php
Strange statistics on Lungi Airport ( https://www.freetown-airport.com/airport_passengers.php ). 12 aircraft bring in 2681 passengers in the past fortnight, but no departures recorded. Must be stacking the planes on top of each other by now.
The bright spot for me (which keeps me hopeful after 6+ years of diminishing capital) is that negotiations in KSA will most likely be headed by Sheikh Bin Khalid Bin Hethlain's CEO (possibly even by the man himself at crucial stages) and not by a Bumbly Towers rep. Arab v Arab = level playing field. Arab v Pasty Pete = massacre.
I've lost my link to a website that gave daily passenger arrivals and departures in Sierra Leone (it closed down when the airport shut down). Does anyone have the link please . . . that's if it's up and running yet?
If H1 revenue from Tema was up 50% on the 2019 H2 revenue of $0.6m then we were around the $0.9m mark end of June. With 800,000 TEUs to date this year that sits us at circa $1 per TEU revenue.
2,400 TEUs a day gives us 360,000 TEUs minimum from Aug 1 to Dec 31 without any growth at the port. That should give us circa $360,000 for H2 (based on 2400 x roughly 150 days left this year).
That should be at least $1.8m for year end based on H1 revenue.
Someone help me out here.

Surely we've got to be in the running for this:

Although tomorrow's jam will be decidedly mouldy by the time construction is finished. I may have died from old age by then, but someone younger may benefit if PF's successor can locate his pen.
Relieved that WSG is supplying "various bits of kit" for Lungi. I've had that familiar sinking feeling for a couple of weeks now that we would have missed out on the one deal that should have been a shoe-in.
H1 "very profitable". Let's hope we can nail him down to some figures next Wednesday, although not holding my breath.
"Helping enormously" with sanitisation in Ghana? Did PF mean Ghana in general or was that in reference to just Tema? Let's be pessimistic on that one and assume WSG is adding covid-19 sanitisation to its security service at Tema.
I wish he wouldn't keep flashing his eyes when he says something positive - reminds me of a gorilla trying to attract a mate. Ah, yes, I get it, a primeval signal to potential investors. Hasn't worked yet.
Good news, although it looks as though Brussels Airlines have pushed back the resumption of their Lungi flights to August now

The tweet from Salman Investors yesterday looks like more of an aside than a pump. The main focus of their tweets are on ME ports. Prime example today:
Contract award for $500m port development in Saudi Arabia

Is Westminster Arabia in this mix? We'd all like to think so. It'll do for starters :)
Covid-19 mobile testing lab for Lungi.

I bet PF is sweating on Lungi re-opening before Webinar.
KSA tweets look intriguing. Have Salman heard updated whispers through their Saudi ports network?
Just two weeks for PF to finally satisfy his LTHs or be consigned to the bin.
