Quite so Ol Griz,
All things considered the situation with Gippsland and Centamin could not be more different. We have been assured many times that the court cases are not really a big issue for Centamin, as the government are on the same side re the license issue, and the fuel subsidy is already factored into all of the economics of Sukari ever since the dispute began.
In the meantime Sukari continues to deliver the gold ounces and returns to its stakeholders, of which Egypt is a large one.
Let's hope that the management have some good news for us on July 31st that will not only lift our spirits and the share price but also restore some of their lost credibility!

They may well have a justified case and a an excellent chance of a verdict in their favour!
However i wonder if they have a decade to waste or realise how long court cases can take in Egypt, especially in the case of mining companies ,even those who have exceeded their contractual commitments to Egypt and are falsely accused of wrong doing!
If the Centamin case is an example of Egyptian justice then some of the investors mentioned in this article will probably be dead before this case comes to a conclusion!

I did email Simply Wall Street last week on this when it was previously published and asked if their example (above) allows for profit share, so far I have not received any reply.
Perhaps you would also like to email them and ask he question?

I agree absolutely, but after the management failing to do their jobs properly in 2018 and their failure to offer a frank and open account of the Sukari situation to their share holders and the market they are no longer trusted to deliver on their promises.
In reality today after taking their free shares (for what, possibly doing what they are paid for anyway} all they delivered was management waffle speak and yet were more promises of better times to come and reports of yet more drilling's in West Africa.
God's teeth I am sick and tired of being presented yet more reports about drilling of yet more promising holes, its gold ore I want, not yet more frigging holes and coloured charts at presentations!
Perhaps I am a little naïve and I don't fully appreciate the way that mining companies treat their share holders, but I didn't invest in Centamin for well over a decade for never ending promises and yet more drilling, (a nice little earner for Capital Drilling) whilst the management get rewarded for failing to deliver the promised quantity of gold ore.
They can't even deliver their promised 3 year forecast , true I understand that gold mining is unpredictable and it's difficult to judge what the situation will be 3 weeks ahead, then why promise to deliver this report?
Was this just another diversionary tactic by the management, most of you will have noticed today's referral to the ongoing underground low grade problems, yet last May these were supposed to be transitional grades that the production crews were getting through ahead of schedule?
So did Mr Pardey and his geologists team not realise the severity of this underground grade problem last May or is that too much to expect?
Will they now be relying on high grading from the open pit to compensate, assuming that is possible?
If only the management were as good at sorting out the Sukari problems and delivering on their production promises as they are at taking their bonuses!
Sadly today was more of the same mediocrity!
However there is little point in complaining on here on here because the management appear to not to care a jot!
iI needs more share holders to write in to Centamin or even phone in on the conference calls and to ask for some answers.

But assuming they are announced how reliable will they be and who will really believe them anyway?
Still it may be opportunity for increasing share holder value, or at least directors bonuses!

Still at least the directors got their "Bonus share awards" this surely must be justified by them exceeding expectations in some way, doesn't it?

I think "Despair" would be a more apt description of my reaction to yet more promises of better things sometime in the future for those who are patient, (Share Holders) whilst some get their rewards now and in the future!

Michael Gove has actually done quite a good job in his present role.
Boris was an absolute disaster as London mayor, did nothing, never went into the detail and wasted load of money (water cannon), he was even worse as foreign secretary!
The the old Commonwealth exists in name and that is about all, as to trading with us most of what they produces isn't such good quality as much of the produce from Europe and could be better used feeding and helping their own people, it also makes no sense to pollute the atmosphere and global environment by transporting many of these products half way around the world when better stuff is less than 110 miles away!
the EU isn't playing silly buggers, the UK was a member of a club and we agreed to abide by the rules the same as we expect them to.
The UK has received billions of euros in grants from the EU over the years and this seems to be forgotten by Farage.
Since the referendum the myths spread by Boris & Farage have been exposed and many people have realised they were duped by the claims of so called savings, also the electorate has changed, some even died and others have now become eligible to vote in the 3 years plus since ill-informed voted to leave.

Yet many businesses have received grants from the EU and they already have access to a huge EU market place,also the EU has just agreed a huge South American trade deal.
For every successful and decent entrepreneur there are scores of deceivers who screw the system, or some like James Dyson take the production of a good product to India , cheapen it's build quality and then charge twice as much for it when sold in the UK.
Boris and Hunt are both happy to spend over £52 billion on HS2 and tear up ancient woodlands and destroy peoples homes just so trains can can get to the outskirts of a northern city 20mins sooner
Wouldn't £52billion be better spent on the NHS and other public services all over the UK?
As a member of the UK has strength and negotiating power, if it leaves it will be at the beck and call of the likes of Trump, is that an improvement?

Although GM cars are in the main poor quality and the parts are overpriced, certainly that's my experience from my time spent at my friends Bosch garage.
Tesla cars are also greatly overrated and overpriced when compared to some of the top notch European brands

The US produces rubbish cars, overpriced motorcycles, chlorinated chicken,their farmers use chemicals that poison the surrounding environment with 'Round up" to avoid having to plough too often and animal welfare standards in the farming industry are practically non existent.

You talk as though the UK still has the 'Empire" when it would send warships to impose it's will on other nations, (like Trump is trying to do now)but those days thankfully are gone,other countries have rights and should be treated on equal terms, world trade is now done by negotiation and not generally by military backed intimidation.
The UK does far more trade through the EU than it can ever do with the US, Trump is anti EU because he sees it as a threat to the US world dominance by the dollar and military might.
The UK doesn't need warships to enable it to trade with the EU or the rest of the world.
Why do you suppose Trump wants the UK to leave the EU, it's because he knows that without the back up of the EU it will be easier for him to impose his will and trade tariffs on the UK.
Remember what happened the last time the UK got involved in the US Iraq conflict over the supposed weapons of mass destruction, there were none!
£18 billion could be far better spent on improving the infrastructure, social care, NHS and public services in the UK,
The UK antagonised Iran by supporting Trump's justified oil embargo, until Trump started to inflame tensions with Iran they were complying with the nuclear treaty they had agreed with the US.UK, EU and other countries.
Trump's inward thinking bigotry has no place in the 21st century , some claim they wish to leave the EU because th UK could then control it's own destiny, do you suppose the UK will have more freedom dealing with Trump, if the UK upsets him then he would impose tariffs on it!
