Your dad worked so hard for his books and through them he was able to achieve his ambitions in life to educate others ,so they could also achieve their ambitions, now those books will be a reminder of what life has been about and provide him with entertainment and mental stimulation, so vital in these present times of enforced isolation or imprisonment of older people!
He won't need 5g or indeed any 'G" to use his books, so good for him, far too many people in today's society get hooked in by the slick marketing and believe new stuff is essential and then get trapped on the merry-go-round of never ending consumerism and debt.
The whole system is based on people taking on more debt buying/renting more and more poorly made crap of whatever from cars to kitchens and sofas most worn out before they are paid for, not good for people or the planet!
Now our out of touch politicians are considering 0% interest rates so ordinary people who may have some savings will be encourage to spend them and the banks can borrow more of the ordinary peoples money at 0% and then charge then 20%-40% interest on their credit cards!
This is what needs sorting out, but Boris and his friends certainly have no inclination to do so!

Quite so Mr Bond,the majority probably CFD trades wanting to be in and out within a trading session so they make a quick profit and avoid paying any interest on the CFD leverage!
Time CFD trading paid some(stamp duty) transaction tax, that may help stabilise things in the market, of course because Centamin is dual listed it trades stamp duty free, this makes it very attractive to short term traders.

Thank you for posting and thank you for the kind comments, when I was in local government and also as a trade union convenor my collages and work mates often refereed to me as the "Jack Russell!" .
Please do keep posting , there are so many helpful, decent people on here, its also most probably the best informed Centamin forum on the web!
I seem to have built up a bit of a rapport and understanding with Centamin over the years.
I was as disappointed as everyone else over this last set back, but stay strong it is being dealt with properly.

Thank you for this article , I shall pass it around, indeed the article makes some very worrying observations about Boris and his government, he is very skilled at portraying himself as such a likeable funny chap, just like Farage convinced the public he was an ordinary beer drinking man of the people and they fell for it!

Boris is very clever and equally devious, like some in his cabinet.

Farage is sly and deceitful with no integrity,although he has become very rich out of deceiving the masses about Brexit!

Still at least you can still have your nice walk., as far as I know!

The recently completed Upper House Parliamentary Enquiry into Koala Populations and Habitat in New South Wales predicts the extinction of koalas by 2050, unless immediate action is taken. The NSW Government has just listed the Brandy Hill Quarry Expansion to be fast tracked. This proposal will see the bulldozing of over 50 hectares of koala habitat. It would be insanity for the Berejiklian government to ignore this report and allow the destruction of koala habitat in this area.

The benefit of this project is minimal. Hundreds of trucks will leave the quarry each day, many making a 5 hour round trip to Sydney, clogging the already deteriorating roads for a load of gravel.

Your Dad did very well indeed considering the situation for ordinary people when he was a child.
The Acacia share holders have been treated very shabbily to say the least, but then in my personal experience of several buy out's of companies doing well I lost out on what the companies were really worth whilst the predator's enjoyed all the benefit of the takeover.
It would have bee a similar story if "Slimy Seb and Endeavour had succeeded in their bid for Centamin.
I would be very surprised if the "The White Hunter" would sort out the court case and he would most probably make things worse if he tried to bully the SCC.

If White Hunter gun toting Bristow wants to get hold of Centamin then he will have to dig deep and be thinking about £5 a share, however should he do so he still has to rub along with EMRA and that would be interesting, quite a change from what he is used to!to bully them!
He won't want to do that he is far too arrogant and greedy!

Nothing wrong with your post, all true and to the point, you expressed what so many are afraid to, the Thursday night pots and pans rattling to save the NHS, what a great diversionary tactic from a government which knew after two decades of Tory sly selling off was no longer fit for purpose i.e. to carry out scheduled operations and treat the people with Covid-19.
People have been paying their national Insurance for the NHS and should get the treatment as and when they need it, but under a freedom of information request I found that George Osborne had pinched £2 billion from our national insurance fund towards paying off the National deficit!
There was an online petition to but it only attracted 175,000 signatures and a million were needed to force a debate, my Tory MP refused to help, what a surprise.
What next do we apply this policy of not using an emergency service to in order to preserve it, don't call the fire service they might get burnt, instead bang saucepan on your head whilst your house burns!
There you go a rant from me !

Our government thought it could deal with this by employing the likes of Cummings (on a huge retainer no doubt, 20 years ago lower ranking local government freelance consultants £900 a day, plus expenses) and baffling the public with political rhetoric and frankly utter bull*hit
The economic and other health issues created as a result ogf lock down will linger on for decades.
However one voted on Brexit for Boris Bull*hit and his Buffoons to proceed without a credible exit strategy whilst the UK us suffering under the yoke of ever changing Covid policy is a complete madness, arrogant and displays a shocking disregard for our younger generations futures.
I have friends in the motor industry they all think that spare parts prices for vehicles will likely increase after Brexit by around 20% or 30%, Mitsubishi is planning on pulling out of the UK if Brexit goes ahead , so one of my friends says he will have no choice but to make a third of his staff (20) redundant in order to keep trading!
Incidentally I don’t know if you are aware but out of 200 zoo and animal related wildlife attractions who applied for government financial help under Covid-19 measures only one was successful!
The National Lottery gives no funding to any animal charities and yet look how animals have enriched individuals lives, possibly prevented mental illness under lock down.
Our government stinks, it’s as unfit for office as Trump, but they are afraid of bad mouthing from Farage the man who doesn't believe in a strong Europe but is an MEP with dual citizenship and married to a German!
So when compared to the utterly depressing state of affairs the UK , a problem with a Sukari pit wall is nothing , the gold is still there and will be got out at a later date, guaranteed!

I have two diabetic dogs who often want to go out in the very early hours, last night Harry hadn't eaten during the day and decided he was hungry, so I warmed up some chicken in the pan and he really enjoyed it.
So sometimes I am then unable to sleep and I have a look at things on the markets.
By the way I really enjoy reading your news on your house project in the Sussex countryside just like the TV series "Building The Dream", I do hope that Centamin helps you & your wife to realise your dream home.
Although we Centamin investors well understand what its like to nearly reach that golden prize and then for whatever reason have it snatched from our grasp at the last minute!
Things are so depressing in the UK at present, the government lurches from one ill considered policy to the next, especialy trying to lock things dwn and yet keep the economy going, it can't be done.
The whole system is corrupt and unfit for purpose, it need changing and changing radically.
Its all very well for Boris, his cabinet and his advisers like Cummings to pass emergency laws banning the public from living a free life, but the public aren't on guaranteed wages with subsidised Westminster meals & free travel, not to mention a guaranteed job with a golden pension either in the lower house or the higher house should you lose your seat
My wife's friend has just returned from Stockholm , no lock down their, no masks , people use their common sense and although the Covid-19 spiked initially it is now on the decrease and falling very considerably.
