If anyone has a Telegraph Subscription then this is an article written by Jeremy Warner. He's heralding the achievements of British Life Sciences.
I've contacted the editorial team and suggested an article about Avacta's AVA6000, I've briefly outlined the latest news via yesterday's RNS. It's time the mainstream media knew about the company that will potentially save the lives and end the suffering of millions! You can contact them too via their online form.
This is amazing news! Years ago I was put on a trial for a 'new' drug which had also been approved for expanded access..Acyclovir. It was amazing to be finally given something that actually worked as I'd previously been seriously ill and was hospitalised.
I was monitored for efficacy and had to note any unusual side effects...its now the 162nd most prescribed drug in the world!
Imagine being seriously ill with cancer and someone saying 'we'd like to add you to a trial for a new cancer treatment'!
My mother always cuts the ends off her sausages before she fries them...one day I asked her why she did that.
'Oh I don't know but your granny always did so you'll have to ask her' was her reply.
The following week I saw my granny and asked her why she always cuts the ends off her sausages before she fries them..
'I don't know why I do it but it's something that your great-granny always did so I do it too...you'll have to ask her why she did it'
A week later I visited my frail old great grandmother in the nursing home and I said..
'Granny my Mum and my Granny always cut the ends off their sausages before they fry them and they said to ask you why they do it'
Great-granny replied..
'My goodness..I can't believe they're still using that small frying pan' :)
Social media is a powerful tool...it only takes minutes for news to go viral....once people get the sense that this is really going to happen then the sky's the limit re SP.....would anyone really want to risk being out of this at this time? I truly believe Avacta are on the cusp of greatness! Looking forward to the coming days and weeks ...so exciting watching this unfold.
the depth this discussion board has sunk to and especially over the weekends
Pre- covid it was a pleasure to read the comments and research that was shared ....but now it seems it's been taken over by complete morons and I have to sift through so much garbage to glean any meaningful discussions about Avacta and the amazing groundbreaking Cancer Therapies that could one day save millions of lives! Come on guys give us all a break from your childish insults and let's once again have a discussion board that's worth reading!
My husband and I (no I'm not Her Majesty) have been mulling over the events of the last few days and maybe we're right or maybe we're wrong have come up with a plausible scenario...
Last week AS did his pitch to the II's....they would likely have been given far more detail than we were given in the VOX interview and especially expectations regarding LFT time lines, which we still firmly believe isn't dead in the water. A logical way to stabilise the share price is to firstly lose flaky investors (lft only) and replace them with institutional holders, (AS certainly achieved this in the interview by not expanding on any upto date LFT expectations). Losing flaky investors reduces the SP which provides the institutions with a much lower entry point making it a much more attractive investment. The institutions can then base their decision on the key points from the VOX interview, which were that AVA6000 has been given approval by the safety commission to move to the dose escalation phase and that the data was consistent across tumour types.
We have no doubt that Institutions will have been and continue to consider taking a position which may well show itself over the course of the next few days!
We may be right or maybe wrong but I'm holding and continue to add at these bargain basement prices.
Bella....we women must think the same...I can't believe I said the same thing to my husband this morning! The Ii's are obviously going to enter at the lowest price possible...as you say...funny the share price takes such a hit directly after the roadshow presentations! Spook the faint hearted into selling ..share price drops ...enter the II's who get the shares at bargain basement prices...as you say we've seen it many times before...but...they won't be getting any of my shares!
Good morning Clive,
As you may be aware this government awarded Innova (based in the US but is actually a Chinese company) a 3 billion pound contract to produce covid 19 lateral flow tests which was rebranded here NHS.
Recently the FDA in the US did a level 1 recall of these tests and advised that they are so unreliable they should be discarded!
Knowing this our government has awarded another contract to Innova for these inaccurate tests!
What is actually quite alarming is that Andrew Brogan formerly a DHSC employee
as inbound freight operations lead has now been awarded a position as Vice President of Logistics for Innova!!
Surely this warrants investigation and I would like to ask the leaders of the Labour
Party to look into this.
Why is this government procuring highly inaccurate tests when our own British Companies have far superior tests such as the Avacta lft which is far more accurate and detects variants?
The more I hear about this government's handling of awarding covid19 contracts the angrier I feel and I think should the general population be made aware then the tide of opinion for this corrupt government will quickly turn.
The above email was sent by me to my MP way back in June...in November I received a nonchalant reply from Maggie Throup.
This absolutely stinks to high heaven and should be investigated!
The most accurate lft test which detects both omicron and delta has been developed by Avacta, (a UK biotech company), is still in the queue for approval following the MHRA decision to review all tests. This has been the case since the 1st September for what is supposedly a 20 day turnround.
The answer to the lft problem is already there but this Government is failing to grasp it!
Regards,
Sent from my Galaxy
The above email duly sent to the BBC
Merry Xmas to everyone have a fantastic time!
I've already given my Hubby a Christmas wish list for 2022....I've no doubt that Avacta will do so well next year I've asked for a villa in Tenerife!
Ah it's so nice to even think it could actually happen...no longer dreaming of winning the lottery!
Merry Xmas Rich...dont get too drunk tonight in the pub xxx
Some weeks ago I asked my MP to contact Sajid Javid on my behalf regarding my concerns over testing and why Avacta's superior tests were being overlooked .
Today I received a reply via my MP from Maggie Throup, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Vaccines and Public Health.
The letter goes into detail as to why contracts were awarded to both Innova and Surescreen.
Ms Throup then goes on to say. 'The performance data that Avacta published on it's AffiDX Sars Covid-2 antigen LFD looks positive. However we cannot comment on the validation status of individual LFD's'......
'Collaboration between Industry and Government continues to be a priority and we are hugely grateful to all manufacturers and suppliers that have come forward to offer their assistance in producing LFD tests'.
Unfortunately I have tried to copy and paste the full reply to post but as yet have failed.
Phew....looks like the Wetherby Whaler had a near miss...hope Alistair wasn't in the queue at the time!

Production/ Operatives vacancies required to start asap.....manufacturing ramping up!

This was the reply I got yesterday from my Labour MP after asking him to look into the Innova debacle.
Thank you for your email.
I am aware that the U.S. have warned against use of particular lateral flow tests that the UK is buying in bulk. There are genuine concerns with the tests allegedly producing false negative and false positive results, and they urgently need addressing if the public is to maintain confidence in the testing system.
I am more than happy to contact the Department for Health on your behalf to ask why the decision has been made to purchase more of these particular tests, given the concerns around them. I will forward on any consequent response I receive.
In the meantime, if you have any further comments or concerns with regards to this or any other matter, please do feel free to drop me another email.
Kind Regards,
Clive Betts MP

Yesterday when I left my review for Innova they had a star rating of 3.4, it's now dropped to 1.9!
Brilliant! Pity we can't review this government and let them know how we feel...ah well I suppose I'll just have to wait for the next General Election.
Here's the link again for Innova
