People living with type 1 diabetes are at three and a half times the risk, and people living with type 2 diabetes are at double the risk of dying in hospital with the virus compared to people without diabetes.

The trial, named ARCADIA, will commence with Professor Evans and the Excalibur team having sourced investment from Mubadala of Abu Dhabi, one of the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds, Excalibur itself and several high net worth individuals. This is in addition to funding secured from the UK Government through the UKRI / Innovate UK programme.

David Tapolczay, CEO St George Street, said: “Given the current crisis, we have paused all our current research programmes to focus totally on this clinical trial and evaluate this potentially life-saving new drug.

It also has a clean safety profile having been already in twenty-five trials for another indication in almost a thousand patients

Have a look into Vela as it could be the NCYT.

It’s a COVID cure stock which has a unique cure unlike all of the others out there. The UK government has taken a stake with one of the biggest wealth funds in the world.

It’s on phase 2 with results due early next year however it has a tiny market cap considering the potential and it’s getting re-rated just like here.

Just thought I would tell you Incase anyone is looking for another NCYT.

Production Licences extension



Borders & Southern Petroleum plc (AIM: BOR) is pleased to announce that it has been granted an extension to its Falkland Islands licences.



The Company's Production Licences, PL018, PL019 and PL020, which grant exclusive rights for surveying, drilling and production within the specified area, were due to expire on 31 October this year. In light of the approaching expiry date the Company applied for, and has been granted, an extension to these licences by the Falkland Islands Government. The new expiry date for the licences will be 31 January 2022, which brings them in line with the expiry date for the Company's Darwin Discovery Area Licence. There is no additional work programme commitment associated with the licence extension.
