The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
This is a really great business but lacks credible people, everyone has heard the story and seen them miss numbers so many times that it needs a new leader to retell the story. Lance has all the skills but has too much baggage and fingers in too many pies to be credible. I think the two large shareholders see the value here and will hopefully demand something more than this lacklustre performance.
This was engineered, the update is not that bad and clearly being written from a half empty perspective. DT should have gone 5 years ago as he is not a business man and it has been visible in all the deals they have done ie medimark acquisition, licensing etc etc. The share price fall over the last 6 months has served up an amazing opportunity for management to acquire the business for virtually nothing. Visibility on the licensing deals is deliberately opaque. Yet another example of management greed and disrespect for shareholders.
all those posting on the advfn bb are in total agreement that baller needs to go, he somehow walks on water despite a track record that is bottom decile. he purports to chair the company but clearly runs it, i cannot work out his agenda but suspect he has a plan that makes him money at shareholders expense. our only hope is that the two large shareholders see through his baller**** and get rid of him

The problem is perhaps Connie, she is out of her depth as ceo. The technology is fantastic but this needs a real leader to tell the story and attract investors. I suspect she is doing too much and can’t see the wood for the trees so the residual for time is shareholder communication which is therefore woeful. Like most small companies the advisors don’t give a toss unless there are fees involved so no help there. All imo dyor
I thought it was a really good deal. If I was a company looking to award them a pfas contract I would want to see a bs that had more than $300k on it and this sorts it. Their pr agency do zero promotion and their broker does not allow access to its research so I guess that explains the drop. I nibbled at a few more ! All imo dyor
The poor support from the uk is because baller is still in charge, he dominates the boardroom and has been in the job too long. A new uk based chairman and a renewed / refreshed marketing campaign ( sack yellow sweater as they have been there too long also) . Small cos need to work really hard at getting new investors so they need someone promoting the co in the uk at all the small company events ie mello
Well written article on Www.the armchairtrader.com . In contrast with the article in the Times by William Kay, who despite being a professional failed to any research and needed to do add silly quips about imaginary cigars. All imo dyor
Share price Falling again! Baller needs to go he adds no value and is too busy playing with his other businesses. The fact that his buddy ploen has sold below 3% shows even he has no faith in his stewardship. Too long in the job and too many mistakes imo
Another good day for kmk. The leader of the armchair saddos on advfn is not moaning that directors have not bought….sometimes there are perfectly good reasons all imo dyor …..
The biggest buy signal has to be the guff written on the advfn bb, a full deck of armchair saddos who believe the end is nigh.
Another small step £1.6m in the right direction, still in good uptrend buyers paying more.
The only obvious question is why would you let your broker who you pay put a lower iodine price in their model than you are confidently predicting . Baller understands the city and knows this would not go down well ? Motive? All imo dyor
no it was a **** update, where is next years growth? eps down 24 on 23 . baller is a complete muppet and is responsible for nearly all the errors this company has made over the years.. i only hope the two largest investors will force him out.
Think we have just had a seller / sellers desperate for cash, hearing quite a few people got burnt going long btc thinking etf approval would push btc over 50000 so might be funding losses elsewhere. I think this is probably the biggest discount I have ever seen on kr1 all imo dyor
I don’t think they will move to Aim or main market for regulatory reasons, I understand there are very few audit firms that can cope with alt coins and lending. We are fortunate to get a monthly valuation albeit a month later but personally think we could do with more commentary / investor contact. I don’t mind Aquis and am able to buy / trade in an isa with ii. What don’t you like about Aquis
No medication just not looking backwards! This has been a shocker but that’s why it is where it is, cash burn is reducing and the czt business is extremely valuable. Not a fan of basu but he has built some decent tech which is only now seeing the benefits which is typical of tech it always takes longer to monitise than investors expect. Can’t seeing it staying private with such a gap between stock market value and business value. You only have to read the guff on advfn to see investors are all one way ….there lies the opportunity as most pis don’t spot the change! All imo dyor
Share price is telling us something ! 5.5p to buy now, perhaps 2024 is the year when value is realised. All imo dyor
