I like VELA a lot. To me its more like a fund with all the due diligence done by James Normands' and his team who are far more informed than I could ever be. Remember it's NOT a covid cure it's an inflammatory treatment to lessen reactions that result in oxygen and ventilators being needed in patients. It will have applications outside of Covid recovery that makes it more valuable in my eyes as it could potentially be applied to all kinds of inflammation issues in the future once this stupid virus has done one.

Vela is not invested in a vaccine. It’s an anti inflammatory treatment for covid patients with diabeties.

Test need to confirm antibodies. Hand in hand surely

Yes yes. So all the posts about the alternative vaccine have zero to do with our treatment apart from they indicate that diabetics are unlikely to be able to take the current vaccines.

Thanks for the quick response. I understand about the 2 trials just don’t see why it’s positive for vela. All the press is about the other trial.

So the AZ alternative vaccine will help diabetic patients as well. So less diabetics will need our treatment. Or have I missed something. It is also in phase 3 and we are in phase 2. I’m no scientist and do not understand the relationship and why it is good for vela. So this is great for az and all people who cannot take vaccines. Please can someone help explain why this is good for vela. Thanks in advance.

Valid question and all you will get is opinions.. they need to validate the longevity of the vaccine so this must be tested and restested over a large control group.. IMO . but who really knows their approach.. all waiting for definitive approach and orders.. RNS please :)

@mark agree price seems reasonable. But be nice to have evidence to quote. And currently the drug is trialing for covid diabetic treatment with potential diabetic only treatment. So numbers are a bit suspect. But only one string to vela’s repertoire. :) news on the next addition soon I hope. :).

Isn’t mode dependant on the take up of the mode app and api which I’m sure is going on in the background. As soon as this is confirmed mode will fly IMO. GLA

Ex I think the next 6 months as a minimum is all about covid recovery vaccines and testing before we are likely to see a change in the uk / international behaviour Then it will be all about financial recoveries eg higher taxes. Etc. To payback the cost of covid. Not sure at what point lending and more important confidence in loan payback will become viable. But the guarantor approach must be the way forward and will be the first to move. IMO
