I'm not anti-CASP, just unimpressed with Clive. This share should be valued significantly higher than it is - so you have to ask yourself why it isn't. I think the answer is management and communications. Maybe 2026 will be different but I'd be more confident with a change in the leadership.

The acquisition they've announced is loss-making so the profit-making Manganese must be elsewhere...

It took less than two hours for Clive's latest RNS to unravel....

Can you trust this guy with anything?

Even if there is good news, who will want to invest in a company that has such poor communications and suspends trading on a regular basis? If there's no progress because of regulatory hold-ups then the least Casp management could do is confirm this - even if they have to do it every fortnight.

But being obnoxious clearly is your strong point.

'Monday could see a share price rise...' Prediction's not your strong point is it?

You can tell what a class act this lot are, they can't even get their basic grammar right. "it's 99% subsidiary"

Who knows what else they've got wrong..... don't they ever get anything checked before it goes public?

There has to be news on the AR deal next week. Based on past experience I wouldn't be surprised to read that the deadline for a deal has moved to March 31st. Every month of delay means that there is less oil for AR to buy and more clawback on the price (and less likelihood of a special dividend).

I thought we were getting out of oil. If we sell to AR there won't be much left for Chevron.....

Getting basic facts wrong and not checking them is not the 'way he tells it', it simply shows lack of care or interest whilst we foot the bill.

Now we know what Clive says.... and it's not a lot.

Telling us nothing is probably better than Clive's usual error-strewn confections. Recently he sent an RNS where he couldn't even get the date right. The only RNS I want to see is the one in which he resigns. That might actually give the share price some impetus.

If you buyback using cash then the number of shares goes down but so does the value of the company's assets.

It looks to me like the cash generated is going to go to the concert party via buybacks and the purchase of their mining interests (if they are that good, why are they selling them?).

One snippet from the RNS encapsulates this firm. The CE has drilled faster than expected and -as a result- has generated less revenue. Why didn't the company structure the deal in a way that protected Casps revenue and rewarded them for drilling efficiently? Clueless Clive strikes again.

But who would want to invest in a company with no clear strategy and a terrible communication record? The latest commercial advantage claimed by the company sounds like 'a couple of the guys from the concert party found a treasure map under their sofa and so we're off to follow the rainbow to see what's there'.

Until the company tells the market clearly what it's planning to do next and how it's going to use any cash that shows up the share price is only going one way. (And it's not over the rainbow!)

Smarty - it's a measure of Clive's competence that his leadership has taken the share price down to about one tenth of the original. The potential was there (and perhaps still is) but the execution and the communication has been appalling. Casp needs clarity now - a clear prospectus for the future and much more transparent (and consistently accurate) communication.
