My view re: share sales Robin Fryer - hés been selling his shares for the last 5 years. Is this his main form of remuneration (I havent bothered to check). Anyway cant see his sales being relevant.

Well Rich I don’t know about the online IC, but this was tipped in the top shelf magazine, which only came out this morning in South London.

Guess I was thinking tax. I know that sometimes directors will accompany a share sale with a reason for the sale. Trouble is that it always get investors worried. It’s just not short term (hopefully only short term) helpful. I know there are people who bang on about IG but I don’t buy that nonsense. I suppose there are a lot of shares out there and I suspect a lot of holders are in for > 500000 so it only takes a few sellers to make a down day. I’ll try and keep the faith for now.
As to those rubbishing our esteemed leader and bookkeeper I think you are completely wrong.
I sincerely hope so anyway.

.. does anyone find it a bit odd both Eric the rockstar and Luke the Abacus genius decided to sell so much, just after having bought them for more. I mean, I know that they wouldn’t be able to sell them if they knew anything or indeed, i believe, 90 days prior to anything significant ‘known’ announcement. But, as an overloaded private investor Imam rather concerned?

Look at Gemdiamonds.com. When they find a big stone that’s where they put it. Then one of us will put it on the bb. They announced some time ago they weren’t going to rns all their finds.

Clearly a complete lack of interest from retail or professional investors here atm. Just looks like investors who jumped in, in the late teens - after recent pumps by IC etc, have breached their stops and can see no short term upside. Guess lack of clarity on Tanzanian regulations, covid and State of magufuli doesn’t help. Amazing how shares can languish but when they catch a breeze whoosh.

I’m not sure if you have stockopedia, or something similar? But I can recommend looking at the trading updates and the fy results for, I think it was, 2018. All through it looked as though it would be a year like no other - a year to better 2015, esp when the 100m cost saving plan was starting to bear fruit, but ultimately it disappointed and it was hard to see, for me anyway, where all the profit had gone in the balance sheet.

At the end of the day I think it’s important to have balance on these bulletin boards and gemd is certainly not all ‘diamonds are forever’.

They say mistakes are for learning, I really overloaded on this one, but am delighted, as of last night, to be at least in for free in one account (my sipp).
