NINA WEATHER 71% LIKELY TO DEVELOP IN SEPT-NOV, SAYS US FORECASTER

There is a 71% chance of La Nina weather conditions developing during the September to November period, a U.S. government forecaster said on Thursday.

The weather conditions are expected to persist through the January-March period next year, the National Weather Service's Climate Prediction Center (CPC) said in its monthly forecast.

WHY IT'S IMPORTANT

La Nina, a climate pattern that begins with colder-than-normal ocean temperatures in the central and eastern equatorial Pacific, is linked to both floods and drought, as well as an increase in the frequency of hurricanes in the Caribbean.

Also short term, dividends are going to hit accounts and be reinvested, this usually means a little boost to the SP, all good news for looking higher from here

I think if the money had run out they would have to issue an RNS confirming that the buyback had been completed. I believe on one occasion in the past few months the same happened and we got the buyback RNS at the close, 16.30 and the next day normal.

Time will tell.

Remember the company doesn’t directly do the buyback, Peel Hunt push the button, I doubt Rusty will have called them and told them to stop because “it was not helping anyway”
