Maestro, and you take that view from? They have been happy being listed in the LSE, Germany and USA for a while and benefit fom being a British company. This war will end next week and this will pass. Russia will return back to the world and things will resume again. They will not be a pariah forever.
Not every Russian investor is a mafioso or a war criminal. These Russians brought a lot a money to the UK and some folk seem to forget that.
I for one will not jump on the WOKE bandwagon like a numpty muppet so he/she feels like part of a group.
EVRAZ has made a lot of money for many here, so try not to be ungrateful at least.
Brains-too, if you relax a little and think about it...the decision not to pay now the dividends is just ..GENIOUS!
The money is there and now, paying such huge divi wouldn't be morally the right thing to do, not to mention it being a clever business move. Patience. You will get your divi.
;0)
This is a very clever move. As someone mentioned before, our fellow Russians shareholders would definitely keep a low profile and out of papers. The money is in the company reserves and we all may get the divi later when this war is over next week.
No reason to have a drop of 37p tomorrow I suppose as the is factored in. And by the way Poly went up today ..65% I imagine folk will accumulate from here.
A bargain for sure.
All the best.
You can always count on the day traders for a drop before the bell. I doubt we shall see 120 today because of day traders. Yet, if we stay around 100p, which I hope, some may sell to trade indeed and we shall see a drop. On my part I decided not to trade, as I found it already very hard to buy the shares I bought recently, so I shall not risk selling any as I am confident that as much as there will be folk selling tomorrow there will be lots trying to mop as many as they can when it drops, plus those who will sell and will try to get back in cheaper.
I for one, managed to scrape £1.5k extra to buy some (one can only hope at a good price) so let's see how it will work out. And like many folk here, I will buy more when the divi lands. :0)
I wonder why so many "EVRAZ scepticals" on this BB have less then 200 posts..mostly. :0)
If anyone has any doubt regarding the fundamentals of EVRAZ, have a look at this:
https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/quote/EVR.L/key-statistics?p=EVR.L
If we break the company up and share it amongst us we would get multiples of the current share value. 22.5% profit margins with over $13bl pa profit..once this war is over we will fly.
This babe started in auction, barely came out to start another one. Anything below 150 pre the end of war must be a bargain. A cash cow by name and essence. As blacksteel post mentioned ..great fundamentals.
Patience and good luck. :0)
AbjectPerformer, you write with such certainty that I wonder where you found your crystal ball to predict the future? I suggest you read the FT article below to get a better idea of the real world we live in in regards to making money vs loyalty to upholding principles.

As some have explained earlier, resellers will bypass embargoes and life will go on. I imagine there will be plenty of rebuilding to be done in Ukraine and American/European companies will be lining up, I am sure.

PS: you are correct David :0)
Still, some nice divi,
Abramovich is set to receive 450 million in dividends and he's the biggest shareholder with almost a third of the company in his pocket. Do you sincerely believe there is any doubt regarding us getting paid our divi? Say, he will be voting for divi to be cancelled?
Jog on! :0)
You have up to the 9th.
Maverick, do a lI'm it order...another 10k in at 89p. That's it for me.
Bought about 50k shares in 10k tranches but only with limit orders. Never managed on quote and deal. I am happy to pay a little premium in contrast to what return I may get on this mining stock.
Like some here, I am happy to hold medium to long term. The war will end eventually, one way or the other, but the world still needs the minerals from EVR. Either the west or the east will buy our minerals.
Raggy, reminds me again how much oil and gas the west buys from Russia? We are all going to pay through our noses if this mess continues.
Frankly, Nato nations are to blame to a certain extent for provoking Russia as as well the Yanks.
I guess China and North Korea are looking very closely how powerless the west is as long as the other party has nukes. I wonder what Taiwan must be thinking right now.
Russians have given Europe/America and Ukrainians a good slap so everyone understands that no expansion on NATO in the Russian doorstep will be tolerated. Now, the oil and gas may flow as soon as west punishment against Russia stops.
FAR BFS news hopefully soon and the greatest buy back opportunity some of us had will be history. I am back in at 17p. :0)
All the best.
FB, they are going for boo and sdry too. Anyway, the markets are crap today. Okay, back to my shed and wood work..got plenty of time to wait. :0)
T. Rowe Price increasing their holding. Lovely. We aren't the only ones seeing an opportunity here. :0)
Arnold, for me any drop here is an opportunity to buy more. I still got about 30k waiting on the sidelines if I get a good price. Accumulation for medium to long term of course. :0)
