Will buyer confidence stall?17 Jul 2020 22:33
No, in my very humble opinion.
We are in the middle of an unprecedented pandemic/global financial crisis, beginning of a recession. Many people in the uk have not had full pay for the last 3 months, many people have or will be made redundant.
People won’t care if the products come via “exploitation” it all comes down to the fact it’s cheap. Products from their ranges are cheap anyway, never mind the fact they support credit services such as Klarna and clear pay. People want cheap, in trend clothing, that is why boohoo buyer confidence will not be affected at all.
Look at it from the opposite end of the spectrum. TED for e.g. they rely heavily on a dying High street, boohoo never have and never will.
So yeah, I don’t think buyer confidence is going anywhere, which just means Leeching for trading updates.
