Simply ludicrous reaction here,I look at it like this, you have a safe full of gold sovereigns that you can't access for 6 months because you've lost the key & need to get another one made.

But in the meantime you've plenty of cash & other assets to play with so what's the fuss ,you can access your sovereigns later.

This has been covered before,but I'll state it again, to enhance dividends paid by companies that HFEL hold they (the managers of HFEL ) write call options & possibly put options now & again on shares owned by our company.

What is the story with share trade volumes shown on here.Today I bought 10,000 shares in two tranches, 6800 & 3200 yet the total days buys are showing here as 3337.

Yes we've had a bit of the rough these last few days, let's hope for a bit of the smooth today from now onwards.

Now would be the time for some big director buys to show confidence going forward. Personally I think the selling is over done & have bought a further 6000 shares today.

Maybe resumption of the dividend, even a token dividend would please the markets as there will be more to come towards the end of 2025.

I don't see any UK listed gold/silver miners that have better prospects than HOC indeed HOC has done better than most US producers in 2024.

A lot of gold & silver miners dable with hedging,you win some you lose some.Thats just the way it is,regarding hoc's hedging all it means if gold stays high they make less profit on the hedged ozs but they still make a profit.
