On the subject of the Cory Morunga deal, apologies if this has already been posted, the purchase for this had been initially made by Columbus (CERP). The field development plans were never implemented by Columbus, more than likely due to a lack of funds.

That is how politicians work Nico, they don't do black and white or transparency, it is the preference to muddy the waters.
I should think that Ryan will be praying for a reshuffle, it will get him out of a tricky situation, however, Varadkar knows this and will want him to stay in his post for as long as possible, a fuel crisis which isn't being solved by windmills ( no wind no power generated) and Ireland importing fracked gas via the UK, this will make the Greens look stupid, not that Minister Ryan needs any help in the looking stupid department.
I found PG's comments 5 minutes into the interview interesting for those who haven't seen it it is worth a listen, and also worth remembering the size of the personal financial investment he has in the company.

I remember this tweet from Lonny on July 5th https://twitter.com/lonny1971/status/1544233989854171136
Some interesting posts on the subject of the UK economy.
Good to see some posters have backed their argument with facts.
I don't agree with borrowing such large amounts of money to give it away in the form of tax cuts, at some point that money will need to be repaid, as sterling is a weak currency and facing the risk of sub-parity with the dollar, I believe it will cause the UK economy problems, the US dollar is a world currency, with many products priced in US dollars, as we import a large majority of our products, the lower the pound drops the more expensive products will become, driving inflation higher.
FYI, I lived on the Isle of Man for some years where the top rate of tax was 18%, yet the island enjoyed the same services as the UK, I didn't pay council tax, I paid rates on my home which included my water rates, a fraction of what I paid in the UK. The Manx government is a mixture of political ideologies.
As for the Ireland issue (which along with all things PRD is the real purpose of this forum), I do believe Mr Ryan will be out of a job before long, politics is a dirty game, as the Irish government is a coalition I would imagine his opponents would prefer him to stay in office for as long as possible and make an even bigger fool of himself, this would certainly harm the Green party and reduce their chances of getting votes at the next election.
Good assessment of the review Keith.
Mr Ryan is certainly out of his depth with the energy portfolio, the interview he gave clearly demonstrated that, the man was all over the place, like many polititians struggling for answers he wanted to talk about the future because he knows he will be long gone by then.
He talks about creating gas storage but does not want LNG because it may contain fracked gas, however as you point out, the gas Ireland recieve via the UK will no doubt contain fracked gas in the future, now the new administration in the UK are about to give fracking the green light, once this happenes Ryan is stuffed, unless Ireland drills for their own gas ( possible winner for PRD) or lays a pipeline direct to Norway.
The one thing I picked up on in the interview, he was asked if the gas storage would be state owned, a question he dodged, he did however mention he prefered an on shore facility, but of course that will take time and money to construct, where as an offshore storage facility can be completed within a relatively quick timeline.
The comment he made about the gas storage only containing gas from Corrid and the UK made me smile, especially with the amber alerts Ireland have had over the summer, where does he envisage that spare capacity to top up those proposed storage tanks will be coming from?
It will be interesting to watch this unfold.
Sorry Redbox, been busy clicking on Youtube.
According to one of your previous posts, you retained a modest amount of shares, which now has grown into a considerable amount.
Spin on you're heels Redbox, you're embarrassing yourself.
Didn't you sell 600,000 + shares the other day Redbox, hardly surprising you're trying to talk the presentation down.
Are you trying to get back in again?
I can see a good rise again tomorrow.
Especially now I have been clicking away on Youtube all weekend.
We're all paid rampers didn't you know?
PMSL.
No real revelations in your post there Charlotte, pretty much the bleeding obvious.
Of course, PG will portray the company in a positive light, what else would you expect, 'don't invest in this company folks, although I've ploughed a load of my own money into this it's a bag of sh**e?'
As for market-sensitive news, I don't expect that either, it will come from the proper channels, but I do expect some insight into how we are going to progress.
Regarding timelines, the political landscape has changed dramatically and the demand for gas is more significant than ever and so is the demand for the materials to extract it, this I would suggest has impacted some of the timelines.
The drill bit will determine the outcome of Mou-2, at the moment all we can do is speculate, but as you point out Nutech are not to be sniffed at, but it is also worth mentioning, PG who I wager has considerably more experience of oil and gas exploration than you, has put his money where his mouth is and invested a considerable amount of his own money in this venture.
If this does come off I will be bagging more than 3%, I'm happy to gamble. FYI I'm already up on my investment.
I have to agree Matt, I feel slightly disappointed with the placing, given the time we have had to wait for this news and all the talking that went before, regarding funding options.
I would ask why this didn't happen sooner, perhaps at 14p?
At least we are now funded.
Good post, Charlotte, some sensible points made, in particular the redirection.
I feel when September comes things will start to move, especially with the presentation in London.
For now, I am prepared to sit and wait.

From 1.25 onwards, interesting discussion.
Life is about opinions, I am always interested in what people have to say, especially those with the relevant experience and knowledge.
There are certain posters on here who bring that relevant experience and knowledge to this board, something for which I am grateful.
And as a sideline, GRH has a Twitter account, which has a number of videos about animals, particularly about dogs, which I find amusing and my Grandaughter finds cute, so although inadvertently, thank you.
I'm off to walk the dog.
Have a great weekend.
