RE: Open to peace talks?3 Jul 2024 14:41
Leningradskiy, here's an adult response, without the childish and conceited insults!
""Zelensky's been open to peace talks since 24th Feb 2022!""
- So you honestly believe Zelensky wouldn't have been interested in peace talks even within hours of the invasion, when he was in much more precarious position, unsure of what support he could rely on and facing (what was then) the 2nd military of the world?
""But, if Putin thinks keeping occupied territory, or Ukraine out of the EU are on the table, he's going to be sadly mistaken.""
Talks HAVE already taken place to expedite UKR's entry to the EU.
"no nato for corrupt ukraine with an illegitimate leader"
- Zelensky is a legitimate President and continues to be widely popular amongst the population. He is right to hold off on elections in the middle of a war (it's not unprecedented) especially given the Russian interference.
"Russia has not been humiliated fighting ukraine and the whole of nato"
- If Russia was fighting 'the whole of NATO' then it really would have been a 3 day SMO! Russia is depleted, now using women on the front lines, motorbikes as assault vehicles and arming it's soldiers with 19th C bolt action rifles. Over 2 years of fighting a country that needs to go 'begging' for money and materiale and gaining very little. If this isn't humiliation not sure what your definition might be?
"Putin's room for manoeuvre narrows by the day."
- This was meant in a political sense, not territorial, and it's true. He has burnt many a bridge left open to him. (I'm not literally talking about physical bridges btw)
""Sad state of affairs for a country that was only recently raking in billions of petrodollars every month, enough to modernise the country, drag it's population into the 21st century and invest in the future.""
"Still does, mooching thinks that a small amount of countries caled us, uk, france and germany are the whole world, when in fact india and china buy all the fuel. upgrades galore for russia"
- So you with think the loss of the piped gas market to Europe, China calling the shots on a new gas pipe, most countries only taking Crude and refining capacity being attacked on a near daily basis is as lucrative as before the war. Really?
"the illegitimate president of ukraine goes begging every week from nato and the eu."
- Re 'illegitimate' see above. Yes, he is having to beg for support. Don't think anyone's denying it. So what, wouldn't you in his position?
"capitalizing NOBODY is convincing NOBODY but yourself, read some history or go work for the bbc it seems you like fake propaganda that can be easily destroyed with a single post"
NOTHING I said has been 'destroyed' by your 'single post'. You've simply proven that you're living in an echo chamber of propaganda and conspiracy theory such as the one you accuse me.
Talking of history, people such as you are quickly going to find yourself on the wrong side of it. Putin no lo
