focusIR May 2024 Investor Webinar: Blue Whale, Kavango, Taseko Mines & CQS Natural Resources. Catch up with the webinar here.
I have just watched the recent Vox Markets video and don't understand why many thought it was such a terrible interview. AS was being honest. Patience is needed.
OK, so LFT's are not going as we hoped (they may even make a comeback), but as AS points outs (and always has), the oncology will be the real driver. My key points from the presentation are:
1. The data from the dose-escalation stage at this point is "remarkably consistent”.
2. They can’t give all data now because this phase is still ongoing and thus not yet fully available. They take biopsies where they can, but more will be needed (presumably after death in most cases) in order to be looking at the cumulative effect of the dose on the tumour.
3. What data they do have (which will include the biopsies taken so far) has been sufficient for the independent body to allow to study to move ahead with 150% dose.
4. During the interview, AS said “fortunately the big value driver, oncology was always the big driver for the business and is MOTORING VERY WELL”
He also commented that Avacta expect the market to be updated mid-year (so June-ish) with lots of data, which will be a “BIG BIG value inflexion point”
Also AS mentioned at the end that the projects with their partners LG Chem and Daewoong, were “both progressing EXTREMELY WELLl” and “There’s a lot to come this year”.
Read between the lines people. I am using this time to accumulate. Come summer we will be in a different place - only 3-4 months away.

I agree that the timing of the announcement was likely planned to coincide with the professional investor's roadshow. They clearly want serious investors on board. With 2 days left on talks and discussions about what is on offer here, I would expect a steady rise in the SP as a result of them buying into Avacta, along with the closure of shorts. Furthermore, this is just one aspect of the business, with many other great projects in the pipeline. News can drop at any time on these. Very exciting 2022.
The timing of the RNS is rather good and presumably planned. This announcement comes on day 2 of 3 of the Professional Investor Roadshow. Clearly they want proper institutional investors on board rather than weak retail investors. Expect this fantastic announcement to significantly de-risks entry for institutions and I would expect a steady climb from here.
They need to be careful not to give too much info for fear of cheap buyout.
100% certain that news will be before the investors presentation. Otherwise what would the attraction be? LFT's with no market and new cancer treatment but not sure it works!! They will need to get as much info out as possible to get the share price back where it should be as they will be fully aware of aggressive takeovers at bottom drawer prices. Next few days should be transformational.
I do wonder whether reference to FDA, may suggest a potential opening in the US? As we come out of this pandemic, lft's should be as accurate as possible to avoid unnecessary economic hardship.
Adjournment: Award of public contracts to private companies during the covid-19 outbreak
Thus is at the bottom of that link. Does this mean his speech is adjourned?
Great article with Avacta mentioned

Send him the link to Avacta
My understanding is that there is nothing now stopping us selling outside of UK whilst we await approval from DHSC. Is that correct? If so, we are simply waiting on orders?

I have e-mailed The Rt Hon Lord Hunt of Kings Heath PC OBE about the delay with UK Health Security Agency . Really nice chap and is involved in medical devices. He has already responded advising he will draft some written PQs.
Best wishe

Seems pretty clear that Gov UK only want to use crap tests as it helps them fudge figures. Can I suggest that if you have time, you email your local MP and ask them to see why there is a delay. I wouldn't have thought a desktop review would take that long.
Looks like £1.40 is the next resistance level. It has failed to get through this 3 times since 23rd July
Responded. Takes 5 mins
Does this success of the current trials at LG Chem have any bearing on success with AVA6000?
Presumably, we will get an idea of the extent of the payment when the full year accounts are out
