Good RNS out today explaining small delay in Brighton going live etc
For those who don't bother to scroll through this thread, here is my outline of a Q&A with Aidan Bishop, the chairman, last night in a Twitter group. Hope it's helpful:-
Aidan has just done a Q&A in Twitter group. I've highlighted key points below:
Brighton - should get an answer tomorrow ; at 7am
Will we have 6 area managers in 3 months - we are looking to have all of them in place by Sept 1 - we are going all out on recruitment
Any chains coming on board this year - me and Sanj are seeing one tomorrow morning. We believe we will have chains this year
The question on the Midlands - we are targetting recruiting there now - i am hearing some good candidates emerging
Any other revenue models in next 3 months ? - unlikely - ask me again then as will be closer
Has there been interest in other parts of the world ? Yes - but one step at a time - lets conquer the UK first
Asia - i am going there week after next
Technology tie up - if you mean tech partnership - it will happen - see more tomorrow
I think it is also important to put delays in context - they happen all the time in tech and young companies....the difference is delays that are just delays versus delays due to crisis - we have none of the later
Ultimately we want to build a great product that people love to use - if we focus on that - then the rest will take care of itself
Also we recruiting in asia for our tech. We want another 5-6 persons. Also graphic designer.
Re Asia tech team: Costs are so much lower for example....
For $1-2,000 per month can get really experienced developers
Also customer service support and restaurant onboarding team costs about $500 per month per personSo we are saving significantly.
Yes - so that is why UK is all sales and marketing - all tech and support runs in Asia. That's why we are confident about being fully funded to 2021.
So we are still recruiting for social media manager - UK based
So with the roll out comes the increasing focus on user acquisition....How will we do that? Increase social media spend...increase google spend....we are creating a blog....we are signing up loads of bloggers.....We have national celebrities coming.. Some exciting stuff re video coming.
As for disclosure rules, the onus is on the investor, not bigdish, to disclose
Lots going on - T1 and T2 is really just a test case for us - the rollout eith aggressive user acquisition is where the real action starts
I was talking with a partner of the moneysupermarket founder the other day....i want us to get some BIG partnerships
