Earlier this year when BHP made a play for Anglo, I wonder if they told them weeks/ months in advance that the bid would be forthcoming. I wonder if they were in their data room at the time.

You can't say no one is looking at us because no one is in the data room at the moment. Besides when a company bids and the board are open to the bid, that's when the books are truly opened and the business end of the due diligence begins.

That's why takeovers take months from when terms are originally offered.

I would say the chances are quite low because they would be breaking stock exchange rules.
