Only started in the past day or two, already 1200 followers.
21.32 - that’d only work if this keeps going long enough for after DW leaves and he can sell his shares.
Although the way this is going he’s probably be able to flog the lot on the OTC market now, and sell it to them as he’s doing them a favour by letting them have his shares on the cheap
Yes it’s 100% unreliable, complete nonsense.
But it was written for a market that thinks it’s reasonable for Tesla to be valued higher than the all the major car manufacturers combined, so I doubt the target audience will care its nonsense.
17.05 - LOL, thats made my day!
Re: "I have no idea what rules I have breached."
You've told us why in the preceding sentence - "I have corrected numerous posts by telling the absolute truth as far as I understand things."
Clearly it's against the stocktwits rules to not join in the rampathon and to tell the truth instead.
Ultimately the oil in the ground is only worth what someone is willing to pay us for it. Whoever that might want to buy it will want to get a good deal for their shareholders as much as our BoD will want to get a good deal for us.
But arriving at a MCap figure is a bit more complicated than saying we can get $X for the oil at merlin so thats what we're worth. We have several other projects, if merlin (or the whole of peregrine) was sold off, it'd provide us with the cash to drill and prove up those other projects without having to farmout or fund raise, thus generating more value.
10.43 - thats is true, but the 31st March announcement said:
"Wireline logging operations at the Merlin-1 well at Project Peregrine are underway, with preliminary results expected over the weekend."
Sunday would be day 7 from the 28th, Tuesday day 9. So a combination of both statements, it seems very likely an update will be coming on Tuesday.
DW hasn't said news will be made public over the weekend, only that initial results are expected over the weekend. My understanding is the actual release of the news has to be to the market first, and the markets where those rules apply are closed on Monday.
It leads to an interesting proposition that the US will be continuing to trade on Monday, but without the listed exchanges open. What seems to be happening is that there has been a flow of shares from AIM/ASX to OTC as the OTC brokers buy up shares to sell on the OTC market. With that supply cut off, could be an interesting day to see what happens. And potentially could set us up on a very healthy level before the news is released.
6.16 - thanks, I think I understand now why he doesn’t see any issues with the mud gas comparisons to analogue wells. It sounds rather like he’s looking at Charlie 1 on icewine, whereas the analogue wells that are being referred to in the announcement are at willow.
22.03 I’ve been wondering much the same thing, and also didn’t really want to raise before the market closed to avoid the deramping claims. It’s a valid point IMO, something we’ll just to have to wait on to find out. My concern is mainly because we’ve had warning signs before that have only become obvious with hindsight, and I think I’d be right in saying you were one of the few who spotted in the Charlie1 update.
But that’s not to say the same will happen this time around. Things seem to be more positive with merlin, but can’t be certain until we get that news.
18:46 - Thanks Garrym :)
Sorry, got distracted and didn't see your post. All pretty complicated stuff, I can't pretend to understand it tbh. Just cautious after previous drills. Hoping it all comes good and we get some news of a discovery that everyone can understand :)
18:37 - Its a complicated subject. I've concluded if it was possible to tell just what there is from the logging data, there'd be no point in further testing and a discovery or not would already be announced.
I was just a bit suprised that the guy on Reddit has covered pretty much everything else, apart from the mud gas peaks not being of the same scale as in the analogue wells, (with the exception of one prospect).
I'm thinking maybe one of the targets is very good, but might not be in quite the right spot for the other targets. But a pure guess. It could be all targets are very good.
The bit of the announcement he doesn't comment on is:
"Mud gas peaks were also recorded and, although generally not of the same scale of the increase in total gas above background as that seen in the Analogue Wells, one of the prospective horizons in Merlin-1 did have substantially elevated total gas, similar to that in the Analogue Wells"
Anyone else a bit concerned about that? I don't really have the knowledge to fully understand its significance, but I do remember the charlie 1 LWD update which referred to similarities and differences. We found out what the differences were the following week.
I'm optimistic for next week, but I'm also cautious its not the done deal some think it is.
16.32 I'd ehco that, good luck all. Can only wait now. Won't be over next week, but we'll probably get a much better idea. Good results, and still a flow test to do.
And talking of echo, glad I didn't follow those clowns earlier trying to lure in people to sell their shares to. Would make a guess from that SP that they've all exited now.
I have been reading his posts, generally I think they're good and informative (especially when compared to most other posts on reddit).
But just remember, he may not get everything right, as Brom as pointed out. He may understand the drilling process better than most, but at the end of the day he still has no better idea than anyone else what the results will be
