BillyGoat100- The relatively new all singing n dancing DEBs store in Stevenage has a PV and a nandos. A little while ago DEBs were vey proud to announce this new format..... clothes, cake and chicken.... what a combo for success?!?

We have two Deb stores near here, Welwyn & Stevenage. Welwyn is old drab style(prob similar to Southport?) needs a good refit but too close to a big John Lewis to warrant the expence. Stevenage is new build, in a retail park, fitted out with Patisserie Cake shop & a Nandos..... So, just when Mrs Deb goes to buy a size 10 she actually buys cake & a peppered chicken...(I wonder if Mrs Deb will end up a size 18.....?)...... Anyhow, this new style store looks great & open plan, BUT its not busy enough imo and still has that old dept store feel about it..... also, its in Stevenage!

The web site is dire! Grand prix- no hotel...silverstone- no hotel...Moto GP no hotel.... Think its best to hang onto that Garden shed after all!!

I was given 500 shares in 1988 in Eurotunnel. For a number years they were pretty worthless, other than the free travel allowance on Eurotunnel once a year for 10 years. In 2007 Eurotunnel merged with tnu sa and around 2010 Tnu plc merged to make Groupe Eurotunnel se. I was paid off by the new consortium on the basis of not having enough shares and was paid the pricely sum of £9.34 in total. A lot of original shareholders in Eurotunnel lost out of even receiving the basis payout as they failed to register their interest in 2007. No regress. In my case the free travel exceeded the value of the original share purchase- so cannot grumble. Good luck with your investments.

arrogant bod and tatty shops, not surprised they are closing some. Not good for employees who work in the shops as most are in deprived areas. LAD should have addressed their store refit program a few years ago when the likes of Betfred were snapping up market share and bringing a brighter look to the High St Betting Shop.. Time will tell, but surely it can't be too long before a takeover or partnership is announced?

I read the major shareholders, the shakeds, are hoping for £3, that values 888 at £1bn.... if Hills are thinking of spending that amount they are better off picking up the lacklustre ladbrokes imo..

I notice Spindlewoods own lodges on site retail at under £600 per week and are fully sold out for end of June... so no real surprise the zzz boxes remain part vacant retailing at £2000 for 5 days.... Also for £2k they need to be literally on site, not a 15 minute walk away from entrance gate....imo.

Hope my comment wasn't mis leading, I was referring to the "permanent" but portable fixture at TT on IOM ......"build a 240 bedroom portable hotel for the TT races on the island on a permanent basis". It would, reading between the lines, be a route the company are looking at progressing, rather than just the pop up models.

Kiemon, I've been following zzz for the best part of a year, from the highs to the recent very lows. its not tanking, just the normal sell off by traders who have taken advantage of the recent rally. |The new management have got their act together finally, and with a constant flow of news (good!) the price will build imo. Not sure where they'll get the funds for developing permanent hotels so that may cause a dip if there is a cash call. Anything in the teens is fine i'd say.. next bit of postive news should see this jump to 20s. gl

Looks like I sat on the sidelines a little too long....! oh well, snooze you lose... glad to see the bod have finally released some news and building for the future. I'll be in funds in afew weeks so hope to buy in then, in the meantime keep up the newsflow zzz.......zzz.zzz
