I generally buy shares when the market is heading down, today is no different to that approach and I've been squirrelling a few more away... buy on the way down- sell on the way up... passes the time of day.

Personally I’ve never shorted, it goes against my ethos to see a company being devalued. But, they have made a killing on metro while I’m underwater. One final point, in reality our shares are being loaned out without our knowledge, my understanding is that if you put a sell order on at a massively inflated price, let’s say £30 for MTRO then your shares cannot be loaned out..

The short will say they bring liquidity to the market, the long will buy more if the stock falls, or make more if the stock rises... win all round.... except for pi who can’t afford to average down.

Bonum, yes mate, I dipped in and out of that too. So too was FOGL.... they struck oil only to later announce it was water, I lost a lot on that fiasco! I don’t think we are in those times of oilies going crazy, the tech companies seem to have that now, but BPC being in a new frontier has the capability to fly....
