For now, the risk remains too great that VOD’s giveaway strategy exposes them to competition, shrinking earnings and a declining SP.

You may get some positive uplift when interest rates start declining, but so will a bunch of other better companies and assets.

Maybe declining interest rates help elevate the SP, but that’s a macro effect and there are better ways to bet on declining interest rates.

I would suggest Demir know exactly what they are doing in gold mining, which is why they walked away. The only error they made is not looking deeper into why AAZ walked away. A little extra homework and they would have figured out trying to open a low grade open pit gold mine in Ireland is a hiding to nothing.

The majors have had 20 years to walk in the door. There is good reason they haven’t.

I expect there has been no placing announcement yet as the Prof is finding it hard to pull off this time. All the intelligent money is avoiding.
