Just bought some more
Reason I sold out today, taking a £4k hit!
Held 20000 of these for a few years. So much promise but NO delivery.
For many years I've tried to visualise quantities of oil being produced, so on Saturday I had a chat with a tanker driver who was unloading at the local supermarket forecourt. His trailer held 41,000 litres of petroleum which equates to 250 UK bbl.
With the pleasing resumption of oil production we should be producing a minimum of 12,000 bbl/day which of course is 48 trucks per day.
Obviously we all want the pipeline to reopen but in the meantime lets hope production continues to ramp up....
He's been evicted several times during that program, Bad Tenents Rogue Landlords. You know the type, white trash, uneducated, gormless looking, feckless, unemployable, expect out for nought.......and on and on..........
Sadly Shivest, I have been on The Scillonian and thrown up several times!
More recent times I fly which is a fantastic experience.
One October I was due to return to the mainland and saw the weather chart,a force 8/10, cancelled my sailing and flew back to St Just. I flew over the ferry on its way out....... The boat disappeared a couple of times within the heavy seas.
What would have been my sailing ,normally takes 3 hours, took 14 hours as when arriving at Penzance it was that rough it was too risky to try and dock!!
Flown ever since
Record, record profits for first 6 months.
Should lift Easyjets S.P. today.
The Isles of Scilly Council met on the 20th April 2023 and Kiboshed the deal, for various reasons including, The Steamship Group has not been communicating with the council.
Government funding being essential otherwise all new vessels have to be funded by travelling public, highers costs would rise to the point where they discouraged people from visiting, said the Chairman
From an islander.
Still awaiting government funding.
The IOS Steamship company has got fed up waiting and is planning to raise £33 million required. The IOS council and the majority of the Islanders think this is ridiculous idea as it will saddle the company with huge debts, meaning putting up the already exorbitant boat, aircraft and freight charges.
Doubtful that this will happen without Government funding, so not happening soon!
London SE, HUR financial diary, also states Ex div for yesterday!
Just bought a load more before the bell. Nice
