Whatever the state of the media there is one undeniable fact - if a somber looking Orla Guerin ever turns up to do a report in your neighbourhood, pack up and get the **** out of there as quickly as possible because something terrible must be happening.

Does make you wonder if Mitsui could have been interested in green hydrogen from Sakhalin given they were already invested there and it’s on Japan’s doorstep:
Mitsui & Co. uses solar power to produce hydrogen in western Australia...Supplied to the ammonia manufacturing plant
The Yomiuri Shimbun
2022/09/16 19:39
Mitsui & Co. announced on the 16th that it will work with Enji, a major French power company, to start manufacturing hydrogen using renewable energy in western Australia. Water is electrolytic with electricity generated by solar power and produces up to 640 tons of hydrogen per year. It is supplied to the ammonia manufacturing plant, which is the raw material for chemicals, and it is used for decarbonization.
We agreed to invest in a local operating company owned by Enzy and acquire 28% of the shares. The total project cost is about 8 billion yen, aiming to start production in 2024. In addition to establishing a new hydrogen production plant in the Pilbara area of Australia, there will be a solar power generation facility of 18,000 kilowatts in the surrounding area.
The hydrogen produced was sent to the local ammonia manufacturing plant by a major Norwegian fertilizer manufacturer and used as a raw material for ammonia. Hydrogen produced using renewable energy is called "green hydrogen" and is expected to be used in various fields.

Good to see that South Korea is still interested in hydrogen from Sakhalin:
September 14, 2022 08:00?South Korea is interested in importing hydrogen from the Russian Far East?
Hydrogen imports from the Middle East and Australia are associated with high transport costs?
South Korea is interested in importing hydrogen from the Russian Far East. As the PortNews correspondent reported, Jinsok Sun, Research Professor of Nanguk University of International Studies in Seoul (South Korea), said this during the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum-2022. According to him, the South Korean government aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, but its own capacity to produce hydrogen in the country is very limited. The country expects to import hydrogen from the Middle East and Australia, but the transportation of hydrogen is expensive. The minimum transport leverage is with the Far East of Russia, in particular, Sakhalin.?"We will not be able to achieve a hydrogen economy without establishing an international partnership, so the key to success is the establishment of international alliances... Hydrogen from Sakhalin may be competitive due to the high cost of its transportation, I'm not sure how attractive hydrogen will be when transporting from Australia," said the scientist.?

Found this last week - LLCs which are owned or partly owned by shareholders from “unfriendly countries” or where the buyer is from an “unfriendly country” can be sold with approval from the foreign investment committee according to the below:

The message being given out by the guy that runs that company to Russians who don’t like the idea is “Either PMC and convicts, or your children - decide for yourself” (in terms of who gets sent to the front line)
https://m.lenta.ru/news/2022/09/15/zeki/
The comments section on this article seems to have been turned off now but earlier there were a few people asking why this was necessary given the investment that been made into the army over the years, another asking why doesn’t “this bald bastard send his own children to the front.”
Both were valid questions.
Apparently Macron called Putin yesterday to convey how impressed the French military where with scale and speed of the Russian retreat over the past few days. Sacrebleu’s all round!
Didn’t notice this before but the number increased from 4 people to 12 people in 2021 according to this:

Hadn’t spotted anything in the accounts that broke the numbers down but will be good to see some results of their work at some point!
Morning all, sad news yesterday. Good to see the sympathies being shared on the BB.
This was announced yesterday. I’m not entirely sure if this is a new law or an extension to include LLCs as being required to obtain approval where the company is being sold either by owners who are May include those from unfriendly countries or where the buyer is not Russian.
A deal wouldn’t happen without full government support even without this law anyway but thought I’d share as our new Kola entities were both LLCs as far as a I remember.

There’s a bit more news being published about Sakhalin recently Mac. Nothing to say it’s EUA related but it’s topical at least. From yesterday:
"More than 90 percent of foreign investment entering the Far East is investments from China," he said in an interview with Russia-24 TV channel within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF).
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed, TASS reports, that the Far East has also not interrupted economic ties with any country in the Asia-Pacific region (APR). According to him, the number of projects continues to arrive "both in Korea and Japan, Vietnam, cooperation in India is developing."

The deputy PM previously supported of EUA’s Sakhalin project so hopefully that is still the case. Be good to get a decent update as part of the interims.
No mention of whether it’s green or blue hydrogen or any involvement of EUA suggested but it’s a start if China are investing in the sector and on Sakhalin. Agreement signed at the Eastern Economic Forum today.

It will be interesting to see if the Japanese do anything in addition to maintaining their existing interests on Sakhalin. They along with South Korea are referenced by the Head of the Ministry of Eastern Development in the run up to this weeks Eastern Economic Development Forum:
“"We have friends in unfriendly countries." Delegations of unfriendly countries will come to the WEF

Delegations from unfriendly countries, including Japan and South Korea, will come to Vladivostok to the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF). This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Eastern Development Alexei Chekunkov, RIA Novosti reports on September 1.
"In unfriendly countries, we have friends, and there are a lot of them. At the working level, Japanese, Koreans, many other people express support," said the head of the department.
He called the cooperation of Japan and South Korea with Russia "fate" because of its neighborhood, historical and economic ties.”

Herbie20017, try adding some spinach or cabbages to your diet. I’m not sure if it will help with your day trading but it won’t hurt your general well-being which is the most import thing. Even if your day trading is not going terribly well then at least the benefits of some ruffage might improve your general mood.
It would be good to see the accounts Mac, hopefully they will be uploaded to the Rosgeo site. They are needed “In accordance with the regulator's requirements for issuers of exchange-traded bonds, Rosgeologia Joint Stock Company” so not sure if they will me made public but as I said it would be good if they were.

I can’t see the financials on the website yet but they might be show some interesting info. Snippet from the article:
“"The positive financial result of the first half of the year and a large amount of free funds in the accounts are the result of systematic actions to implement the Rosgeology strategy over the past three years, including the development of partnership projects and an increase in the share of commercial contracts for geological exploration, primarily for solid minerals," the words of Sergey Gorkov, CEO, Chairman of the Board of the company, are quoted in the release.”
