Sanctions are merely a bump in the road for EUA and mainly a US and UK response to Russias undermining of the dollar. Not really about Ukraine IMO.

Europe will protest but won't do much. Too much trade and energy particularly for Germany. So in the end UK will hurt more with higher energy prices and of course metal prices.

The decision by Russia to recognize two separatists entities of Eastern Ukraine is a blatant violation of international law, of UNSCR 2202 and Minsk agreements, of the UN Charter.

France calls on Russia to reverse this decision and refrain from any further destabilising action.

Hopefully, this is where the extent of the conflict goes. No Ukraine invasion and limited sanctions and of course EUA, release the mother of all RNS'S.

I still don't see any war. Put has recognise the two states as independent (they were outside Ukraine's control). He is will send in peace troops as he sees it. The west will call it an invasion force, however Putin will not move into Ukraine proper.

So no war but sanctions. They will be limited as long as Putin doesn't cross the border. He has achieved what he wanted and at a cheap price.

EUA will recover. Let's see what the next RNS is. Fingers crossed for the big one.
