Always a pleasure, Futsal, and welcome aboard. Many having been waiting for this moment for years and a little scepticism is to be expected. However everything emanating from the company clearly points to transformative news arriving very soon.

Might I ask where you heard of 'ZIOC'? We are a small band of diehards and true believers with next to no publicity.

The advance of the Strategic Initiative through 2024 is now clear.

So much so that Trahar near enough told us what to expect in the 'early part of next year'. ZIOC are "'very, very well-positioned' ... on the strategic partner process."

The next stage of development requires the Strategics to step forward. They are blockbuster, global names. Game on.

The positive feasibility study results provide increased confidence in the project's economic feasibility within the current market and cost environment. This serves as a catalyst for potential investors to consider funding the next phase of the project, which entails front end engineering and design programs to refine project elements and mitigate risks.

3. 24 JUNE 2024, SMALL CAP IDEA: WHY ZANAGA IRON ORE IS A £48M COMPANY WITH A MULTI-BILLION-POUND ASSET

'The updated feasibility study offers potential strategic investors a wealth of new information. Several companies are reportedly interested, ranging from those considering a consortium stake to others looking to acquire Zanaga entirely.

Although there is no formal deadline, a deal is expected within a few months, according to an insider.'

Andrew Trahar: "This step for us is a major de-risking step as we engage our strategic partners. ... We are very, very well-positioned now to move forward on a number of execution milestones that we've lined up in the early part of next year. ... we now have a string of announcements planned for the early part of next year that we are going to be hitting milestones on and getting into the public domain for our shareholders. ... Some of them we have already indicated to the market, such as power agreements, for example. The strategic partner process, in particular, has been a major focus for the company and a huge workstream for us. Once again, de-risking milestones such as this port definition and this port agreement and partnership is very important for us.'

Our Strategics will come out of the shadows and, when they do, we'll be mentioned in the same breath as Simandou.

ENVIRONMENTAL PERMIT AWARDED TO THE ZANAGA IRON ORE PROJECT

Zanaga Iron Ore Company Limited ("ZIOC" or the "Company") (AIM: ZIOC) is pleased to announce that the Zanaga Iron Ore Project (the "Zanaga Project") has been awarded an Environmental Permit ("the Environmental Permit") by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Congo ("RoC").

The Environmental Permit covers the Zanaga Project's first phase of development pursuant to its Mining Licence granted in August 2014, as outlined in the Zanaga Project's Feasibility Study ("Feasibility Study").

A Social and Environmental Impact Assessment study (SEIA) was lodged with the Ministry of Environment of the RoC in April 2014. Following comments received from the Ministry of Environment an amended SEIA was transmitted in June 2017 which has been approved through the award of the Zanaga Project's Environmental Permit signed on 6 November 2017.

The receipt of the Environmental Permit is a significant milestone in the advancement of the Zanaga Project, together with the Zanaga Project's Mining Convention and Mining Licence.

Could well be. It's always a puzzle trying to gauge what's going on in Congo. News, or what passes as news, oozes out through a haphazard media, one which is more-often than not written in florid French which seemingly intends to convey wisdom but only achieves the opposite. Us lot are left sifting the wheat from the chaff and joining dots.

I'd go with it being whichever 'Mayoko' Obama and Nguesso are connected with.

My insight says that ZIOC have unfettered access to Ministers and officials and meetings have been taking place on daily and weekly basis right up to Christmas week - (this tells us that news is coming very soon into the New Year, IMO).

For me all this (Mayoko, meetings etc) ties in with what Trahar said in his Proactive interview following the Mineral Port MoU with Arise:

'Together, we are now COLLABORATING on this initiative of financing both projects and de-risking the port site with other users that will come in and make it as big and significant as it should be for the country. So, very exciting for us.'

This builds on what Marty said in the FS RNS back in April:

'...During recent engagements with RoC Ministries, communities and potential strategic investors, the burden of being the first mover in the region of high grade, low impurity iron concentrates for green steel production, is strongly supported and makes for an exciting future for Zanaga.'

So, tying it together, we have ZIOC in constant meetings with 'Congo', trail-blazing iron ore and mineral development and the associated infrastructure, and being strongly supported by Government. This all being the case, it is a very comfortable situation in which we find ourselves.

An instructive reveal in Trahar's recent interview that has so far gone unremarked. ZIOC are collaborating with others to make the new mineral port 'as big and significant as it should be for the country' -(1). Some might say that they are aiming for 60Mtpa of iron ore throughput. This to allow for a combination of a scaled up Zanaga (to 50Mtpa) plus capacity for Mayoko. Mayoko is, of course, Zanaga's near neighbour and owned by Paul Obambi, often described as Big D's front man. Anyway, back in Sept 22, ZIOC also revealed significant collaboration 'with other mining project developers' over infrastructure. That would be the port, as we now read, plus improved road and rail links.

What's good for ZIOC is also good for Mayoko which is good for the country and for Big D. Win Win Win Win, as the Chinese might say.

All this to be covered by the upcoming FEED program, one of our 'string of milestones and announcements in the early part of next year'.
