Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I was looking at this yesterday. If you look at the version history then you can see it's been updated six times in the last month more than at any other period plus they are adding narrative rather than just "Bug fixes and compatibility". Not one to shout "news coming" however they are clearly investing time and development into the app along with their social presence gives more confidence.
Dear TheBadBat,
I find it highly amusing watching you try and educate Themis on when an RNS is needed or not. I would like to take this chance to remind you on 28th November last year Themis posted a link from broadway.com about new releases from MVR you went into meltdown asking the bb why there was not an RNS about this and then went on to actually email MVR to ask as to why. It was then pointed out to you by Puddin, another person you ridcule for havig a different view to yours, that this is standard content and BAU so would absolutely not need an RNS and anyone worth their salt would know this.
So your words carry no weight. Ppl like you are the reason this board descends into what resembles a schoolgirl fight on a daily basis. Why can't you be like Mel5 who, whenever questioned, counters with a respectful, educated and clearly articulated response rather than calling people names and telling them to sell up. I would actually suggest that if you are not emotionally strong enough to deal with ppl questioning your investment then you, in fact, should sell up and move on as this surely cannot be doing much for your blood pressure.
I have been here since August 2016 and have no intention of selling but I, for one, have no problem with the likes Horse, Optimist, Themis et al and I welcome their comments as it just makes me constantly sanity check my investment as any investor should do.
Have a great lockdown weekend!
And if my memory serves me correctly this is the second time MVR has been App Of The Day or at least featured on the Appstore home screen. Think it was in "Top five apps we love today" a few months back.
Ahahaha! Says BadBat who didn’t even know the guys role in the company he’s invested in. You ain’t the sharpest tool are you pal!
Still chuckling now! That’s really made my morning. Thank you!
Face/palm! Stop saying company secretary. It’s the CFO that has left. Like Puddin said he was brought in for his experience but has left. Again not the end of the world but when one of the C suite leaves it should be talked about.
He is/was the CFO and joined (not directly) from Universal Music after spending 22 years as their global CFO. You should know this if you are invested in the company. He was brought in to replace Sebastian Theron. So the wealth of experience and contacts he would have brought to the party it is a little disheartening. People move on in their careers I get that and this is not the end of the world however with what I see as a very interesting few months coming up it would have been nice to see the c-suite remain stable.
His LinkedIn profile reads that he finished working there this month. A bit disheartening.
Just an example of what this type of partnership can do for a subscription based model like MVRs.
"In August 2010, mobile operator Orange partnered with Deezer in a deal to include free access to Deezer Premium, the highest tier of Deezer's streaming packages, with some of Orange's telecommunications contracts in France. Almost immediately after the partnership began, the rate of users signing up for Deezer's premium services went from 6,000 a month to 100,000; by January 2011, 500,000 people were subscribing to the service, with the million-subscriber mark reached in the middle of 2011, half a year ahead of schedule. The two companies expanded their partnership in September 2011 to include Orange contract customers in the United Kingdom. Also in September, Deezer added Facebook integration to its service, allowing users to send music to one another via that social media service."
Quietly confident about what?
Why do you say it pain will be over by November? Do you know something? Is it based on research or just gut feeling?
Ta.
Similar concepts but also quite different companies from what I am led to believe. Next more focused on sport however they also do some comedy and some music. Also I think they are only 180 degree view where as MVR are 360. They were a launch title for the GO like MVR and if they are now to be available on the Quest then I suspect we must be also. Maybe news in the lead up to Oculus Connect 6 at the end of September.
NextVR releasing on Quest soon. If they are surely we will...

Not Melody but an interesting insight into how musicians themselves are viewing VR and how to immerse their fans fully into their music not just "sitting with a box on your face" as some put it. The last couple of lines of the article in particular show great awareness of the potential of VR.
"“I think fans are looking for ways to get close to the artists they love, to understand more about them, be able to see more content from them and have different ways of being able to understand their music,” she says. “I think there’s a desire to find ways to make those connections.”
Bellamy envisions Muse using VR in other ways in the future, like possibly recreating a small venue the band played in its early days to provide a more intimate experience for fans.
“Doing things that you can’t do in real life — that’s what’s going to be exciting,” he says.."

How do you know there are two big announcements to come?
What is 5 years for you? When did you get in? I have been here for 3 years on 2nd September and had a 5 year plan however I think that will be longer now.
iPhone users - open up the App Store on your phone and you be presented with "5 new apps we love today" lo and behold what appears in that list. Further publicity days after Wireless.
You keep saying a few million. How do you know this? I have searched and cannot find the figures anyway.
Is it available to download to the Quest from the Oculus App Store?
Which may I add has already had over 55000 views in just over 30 mins
More importantly he has just posted it to Instagram and his 24.8 million followers...
