RE: Bought Some More28 May 2021 12:17
The deeper I've dug into this company, the more impressed I've been with them. 45% of the company is in public hands, the rest are owned by II's and a significant holder Manchester University. With a MCAP of £100M and only 157M shares outstanding the company is in a very healthy and strong position. They have 5M net assets and no debt. With less than ten members of staff, their monthly cashburn is very modest.
What impressed me most is their commercial agreement with Croda International. Croda is a huge company with a MCAP of 9.7B. They already have a strong presence in the Cosmetic market and have hundreds of products already selling all over the world. They also recently won a contract to supply components for the Pfeizer Biontech vaccine a contract worth $125M for the company this year. As well as the Pfezer contract they are also involved in 60 other projects focused on covid-19 vaccines and therapeutic treatments.
SBTX have a very experienced team including Dr Cath O'Neil who is Chief Scientific Officer. She is an accomplished biologist and a leader in human-bacterial interactions, she is also invested in the company. Cath previously founded a specialist dermatology business, Curapel Limited, leading the company through its formation and development stage. As an innovator and expert Cath has worked as an advisor for a number of skincare businesses and brand owners. This includes delivering technology from the lab, through development and onto to new product concepts in partnership with global corporations. Cath is a biochemist by training and has previously led research teams as a senior lecturer at the University of Manchester.
Most of the research on the AxisBiotix-Ps were already completed at Manchester University which is why SBTX has reached production and commercialisation stage so quickly. The treatment is delivered by means of a food supplement shake which is added to water, it has very positive affects on skin conditions such as eczema, acne, and Psoriasis. The product is receiving rave reviews and will be sold in the billions if given the go ahead. This stock has huge potential, who knows where they could be in six months if the product is commercialized.
With significant backing from institutions such as Optibio, University of Manchester, HBOS, AJ Bell, and Barclays bank, the company has huge potential. Might be here for the long haul depending how management shapes up.
