“We have potential to be a major transit point to and from South America to Africa and the rest of Europe. It will also attract major airlines and regional carriers. Sierra Leone will then boast of an airport that meets the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) requirement for airport certification for an international airport like Lungi. Our airport will be considered less risky and less costly to operate for international airlines. Reduced cost of airline operations will trigger more competition, more carriers, and better service delivery,” president Bio concluded.

"On 15th December 2020, MPS and EIFFAGE Génie Civil reached an agreement to extend the original FIDIC Yellow Book Contract to include the Land Works for the 4th New Berth of the MPS Terminal 3 (part of Phase 2 of the Tema Port Expansion Project.

Over the past two years, EIFFAGE has devoted its effort to complete Phase 1 of the Tema Port Expansion Project and successfully laid 41.5 million pavement blocks on the first 98 of the 127 Hectares on land reclaimed from the sea. The works included drainage, waste-water treatment plant, water & fire hydrants, electrical and IT fibre networks, 1400 reefer container plugs and a 12 MW back-up power plant.

The marine works for Phase 2 were completed back in July 2020 by China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) 2 years ahead of schedule and the land civil works are set to be completed in September 2021 which is 9 months ahead of the MPS contractual commitment."

Well that's nothing compared to the dozens of de-rampers, and all others on here who tell us they don't hold, yet continuously post? Many of whom are new to the board. Strange that.

It's not a great situation,... but debt free, SL up and running again and Tema building,... this MAY just be the inflexion point.

Another MOU early in the new year, as the company has hinted at,... could see the start of the recovery. Time will tell.

Either way it would be nice if all the doom-mongers would just p*ss off and invest elsewhere, as they are all a tad boring and bring nothing constructive to the party.

How many actually contact the board and make their concerns known,... or are they all just keyboard warriors. I know that I have spoken with PF in the past week.

You are now saying the most vulnerable may be sorted by Spring.... and that it will be end of 2021 before we are all vaccinated. During that process,... I doubt the government will be happy for vaccinated and un-vaccinated people to be wandering around together,... without maintaining some if not all of the current social distancing regulations,... ie screens, .. masks,... etc., -- else what would be the point? Anyway,... good news that the vaccines appear to be effective..... I wonder if we'll all be required to wear a tag/bracelet to show that we have been vaccinated,...? hmmm.. will be a field day for sociology students!

Aiming,.. IMHO,... I very much doubt that. It will probably take them until then to even make enough vaccine to inoculate 70M people,...---- let alone administer 2 doses per person with a 4 week gap between---- and then we don't 'actually 'know how it will affect the spread of the virus,... whether it will mutate,.. etc.,--- I suspect that precautions will be in place in some form of other for all of next year and probably in to 2022.
