qwazi - 14 Dec'09 - 14:22 - 144 of 145 I've done some more research on this. There's no doubt it's a bit of a punt, but the upside seems to far outweigh the downside. The market cap of £3m is more than supported by the £2.75m of cash and listed investments and £3.62m of unlisted investments. You then get $1.12b of fee earning assets under management, which are producing around £8.4m per annum. You also get the fund administration business, Silex, which made a profit of £0.4m on turnover of £1.4m in the first half. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the net assets of 188p per share are mainly made up of goodwill, so should be treated with caution. But they do state in the interims that the goodwill "was formally tested as at 31 December 2008 and there was no impairment indicated".

D1 Oils shareholder Principle Capital will refuse to support any plans to raise further equity capital until the company stops 'fruitless spending'. Principle says its funds have incurred substantial losses on their 18m investment in the biodiesel company. With 27.55% of the issued share capital, it says it has the ability to block all special resolutions of the company and intends to do so until the board agress to discuss its requests. These are that D1 ceases all but essential cash expenditure immediately and begins talks for the acquisition of Principle Energy Limited and an associated fundraising. Principle is resolved 'to fulfil its duties to its underlying investors by ensuring that what it considers to be fruitless expenditure is halted'. Story provided by Business Financial Newswire

This share does seem to move very dramatically... 20% fall on 1 sell... Crazy! Should see a bounce here IMHO. GLA

continue the bounce north... back to even 4p would be nice... GLA

we are starting to see some blue here! Very cheap at these levels... up on only a few buys, very few shares in issue doesn't take alot to get this moving... GLA

lets hope the rise continues next week... still a long way to go IMHO. GLA

Also some cash, some investments, a notional NAV of 188p (although that is nearly all goodwill so take with a pinch of salt). Market cap only £3m. GLA

I would like to think so mate... Not having the best of luck of late! Thought we would see a good rise here after such positive results but no... market obviously wants something more! Might be a hold until next results? Few punts atm which aren't paying off as yet and very little time to trade as work is so demanding atm... Hope your having a better time of it than me! ATB & GL
