TSE Consulting launches new book for public sector
TSE Consulting's new book Developing a winning sports event strategy: a four-step approach to successful bidding and hosting was launched today at the international sports conference SportAccord, held in Dubai. The book provides public sector bodies with a shortcut to developing a winning approach for their investment in sports events.
Developing a winning sports event strategy is based on an approach that has been developed and tested by TSE Consultants on various cities and regions around the world. In the book TSE documents this approach, then demonstrates it by providing case studies and interviews from leading cities, including, among others, Singapore, Vancouver, Amsterdam, and Monterrey.
Lars Haue-Pedersen, Managing Director of TSE Consulting:
"Too often we have seen public sector bodies be disappointed with the outcome of hosting an event or waste time and resources on bidding for an event that brings them nothing. We believe that an event should never be hosted as a one-off but rather be part of an on-going planned series of events. Over the years, with our various city, region and country clients we have developed, tested and refined our ideas and methods and are eager to share our thoughts and experiences with the rest of the industry."
Developing a winning sports event strategy is the second book to be published by TSE Consulting following the publication of a sports management book in 2009 called 'The new Sports Organisation, eight essentials for renewing the management of sport.
