Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Hi all,
I never post on here but keep dipping in just in case there is some positive news and I like everyone else hear can get some (or even all) of our money back.
Anyway, enough of the boring stuff. I just wanted to say a huge thankyou to all the super sleuths on here for keeping the hope alive. The recent snippet of news from the contact helped keep the glimmer of hope alive.
I thank you all and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to 2024.
Mike
Im already in, have been for months so won't get left behind.... Miners will have no choice once the first one signs up.
My question is about how it would work though :)
I suspect none of us actually know yet. That's ok but just wondered whether someone had unearthed something other than the high quality sales stuff.
I haven't found anything yet either. I suspect Im missing something on the amount of chatter that's required. Im speculating that each miner will only need to contact the QBT service when it start's mining and then again when it's finished rather than constant chatter.
Hi all,
Im a newbie to the thread (basically I don't get involved with all the daily churn of "it's going to rocket" or "it's going to nosedive" it's mainly just noise).
I have been holding for a few months just because I like the tech and can see, if it works why it's great for BTC production.
The thing I really don't get is how many of these QBT servers would be required to support one of the BTC miners and do we know how often each miner will need to call the QBT server for an AI based helping hand.
Im a techy, typically work with Cloud, AI and APIs so know AI calculations are very load intensive and CPU hungry. The BTC miners are the same so the amount of chatter between a BTC miner and the QBT Service is going to have to be huge with very low latency.
MARA has c.105,000 BTC miners (the last time I looked), if they used this service, QBT would be talking to a lot of miners at the same time which has me trying to understand how it's likely to work.
Has anyone managed to work out what the architecture is likely to look like ?
Sorry for the weird question
@MrDribbles.... BLOCKED - EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY!
I find it incredulous reading the crap some people are posting about the vaccines and the reasons given for choosing not to take them.
A few facts:
1. There are ~28m vaccines given per day. Given that volume, nobody in their right mind can say it's still experimental. The side effects at that volume are miniscule that's why the world is crying out for vaccines.
2. Saying you aren't going take them because 'Boris is a kn*b' is like a child saying they dont want to go to school because they don't like the teacher. Grow a pair!!!!
3. Not having a vaccine because you're fit and healthy ? - whoopy friggin doo. Sadly a lot of fit and healthy people are no longer living because of that level of complacency.
4. It's personal choice ? - actually you are making the choice to exclude yourself from the very thing in society that will give you the safety to make that choice. Society it not one person, it's the whole population. If you choose to put others at risk due to your 'personal choice' then enjoy the freedom, take delight in putting others at mortal risk and don't feel annoyed when you are told it's too late when you ask for the vaccine in ICU. Worse still, when your friends and family end in ICU because of your self opinionated decision.
5. Masks, don't like them and not wearing them ? - They are the single most effective way of stopping transmission short of a forced lockdown. If you choose to not wear a mask then you are quite simply putting others at risk due to a 'personal choice' decision. You wouldn't put a child in a car without a seatbelt. If you do, you should be banned from driving. Masks are the same.
Still not willing to do something simple like wear masks and taking a jab ? - Have the decency to exclude yourself from society, don't go out, don't mingle with others and go live in the outer hebrides. That's the only way your personal choice will stop the rest of society from recovering from a pandemic that has killed millions.
Still not convinced ? - speak to somebody who works in a hospital and tell them why you chose to put their lives at danger. Tell them it's not your fault that the NHS is nearing breaking point and don't forget to tell them that you have made a personal choice to be excluded from the benefits of society should you be one of the thousands a day who are unlucky enough to be booked in to hospital so those staff can try to make you better so you can continue your rant about 'personal choice'
Actually, it's just because I like banana (the fruit) :)
Managing the window cleaning ?
Hi guys,
Do we know how many shares have moved to the US ?
Also, am I right in thinking that the shares move because a US broker on the OTC, buys say 1m shares and then trades those in the US ?
I'm basically trying to understand whethther the two exchanges are physically linked and how quickly the shares are moving over there
Hi all,
Before you throw rocks at me (yes I'm new here and no I wont post endless tripe)
Just wanted to say though the SP has taken a hammering and I dearly wish the new issuing of shares would stop but also wanted to say, as a company Argo is transforming before our eyes. We didn't expect the extra miners so I for one am more than happy how Peter is investing in Argo's future.
See, I wasn't a pain was I :)
p.s. I go by the handle of ManagedRisk on stockwits so have already been introduced to some of you over there.
I will go back to sleep now

Apologies, sounds like there are 2 tests in Southampton.
If this is the test you are referring to....
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-saliva-test-for-coronavirus-piloted-in-southampton#:~:text=A%20weekly%20coronavirus%20(COVID%2D19,this%20week%20(22%20June).&text=Participants%20will%20be%20able%20to,current%20infections%20of%20the%20virus.
it is Optigene, I was in the test
It's not us. I was in the test, it was a saliva test using Optigene
