Credit Suisse have had a huge downer on RMG from day one... I did hear it's because they weren't selected to be one of the chosen few to be involved in the IPO and have been sulking ever since.

So according to them the business is now apparently worth virtually half what they valued it at only 9 months ago, despite the fundamentals remaining more or less the same.

The previous two occasions RMG has been promoted to the 100 it has had no positive impact on the share price and there seems to be a correlation between getting promoted and the shorts targeting RMG as they've done it each time RMG has been promoted.

Redceo - It might not be a science, but it could be a whole a lot more of a reliable way of generating income if the markets weren't subject to so much blatant corruption and manipulation and individual stock prices were a fair and accurate reflection of the underlying fundamentals of their businesses.

A P/E ratio of below 5 is just insane in any market, surely the most undervalued stock in the ftse 100, probably one of the most undervalued stocks on the planet!

I was looking at it from the opposite angle... it's the buy back that has enabled the shorters as they've got a guaranteed big volume buyer to sell to when they need to exit their position.. but hopefully this means they will have to close their positions before the buy back is completed.

It is peculiar how certain posters, both old friends and new, only contribute to the RMG discussion here when the shorts are active...

Angersharkz - I've been in from the IPO so I'm all too familiar with our shorter friends, it just seemed strange timing that they only reappeared when the buy back was launched given there's been no bad news or bad forecasts to justify them taking a short position.

I also agree, the low buy back price is the one glimmer of positivity to take from this!
Although is it the buy back that's facilitating the shorts in the first place?
As it's giving them a guaranteed, large volume buyer to sell to?

Unfortunately the current shorts and their MM chums seem to be capable of negating any benefits gained from the buy back.

Dowsie and Dan... Our 2 latest derampers, or perhaps I should give them the benefit of the doubt and it's just a case that they simply don't know what they're talking about when they try to claim that manipulation isn't happening with this SP.

Even at the 581-591 price range that Dowsie quoted RMG is still undervalued based on all fundamentals and ratings and yet to achieve that price took a steady rise on the back of excellent results... yet that already low price can have 10 or 20pc wiped off it virtually overnight despite no bad news news at all and a rising ftse.

No manipulation? Who are you trying to kid?

I'd also love an answer to the question Angersharkz poses... I just can't understand why the shorters and their market maker accomplices are able to so easily manipulate RMG downward to figures well below true market value based on all the fundamentals and ratings.
Oher posters have claimed the frequent inexplicable RMG drops are due to ''fear and nervousness'' but I think it's a chicken and egg situation... any fear and nervousness is due to the manipulated price drops.

dan23 - All the temporary headwinds you've mentioned apply to just about every other business with a workforce, large and small, in the whole of the UK ... do you see them all having such dramatic falls in their share price?
For you to claim manipulation isn't occurring here with RMG you're either very naïve and delusional or you're trying to gaslight folks.

dan23 - If RMG isn't subject to manipulation then it's certainly subject to more ''doubt and nervousness'' than any other share on the market!
I've never seen another share constantly over react so badly to even the slightest hint of bad news or even no bad news at all.
Is there any other share in the ftse100 that is as undervalued based on it's fundamentals as RMG is?

Insider trading - Illegal and heavily regulated.
Boiler room pump n' dump scams - illegal and heavily regulated.
Unregistered Brokering - Illegal and heavily regulated.
Mysterious MM's using the dark arts to target a specific share and drive it's value down well below where all the fundamentals suggest it should be? - Fine, no problem

I have asked this before but never received an answer...Who, if anyone, is supposed to hold a remit for investigating this kind of blatant manipulation of share prices? FCA?
And why don't they act? they seem keen enough to act on insider trading or boiler room scams etc, yet this kind of stock market manipulation is constantly ignored.

More manipulation?... As soon as someone opens a short position the SP mysteriously and unexpectedly drops by 4.5pc based on nothing whatsoever.

Pottyafc - I think you'll find that things are ''not good'' across pretty much every sector of the economy right now with delays, shortages and reduced services mainly due to covid related staffing and supply issues.

I'm not sure why this is a particularly noteworthy issue for it also being the case with Royal Mail ?
Is RM supposed to somehow be immune to the staffing problems and issues effecting every aspect of the whole economy?

It's so funny when these amateurish attempts at driving the SP down with scare stories appear from our wannabe shorter friends.
