RE: The Big Questions….?????4 Apr 2026 16:38
Neversellshell - I'm not sure if this is correct, but I use the Dutch TTF gas price which is quoted in EUR/MWh and which is currently sitting around 50 but has been as high as 70. To convert to $/MSCF you need to convert MWh to MSCF (x0.33112) & then EUR to $, I use a conservative (x1.1). This gives a current price of $18.2 per MSCF. If anyone has a better method I'd be glad to know.
My current forecast FCF figures are in line with other posters on this board which are in the region of ~$3.0b giving a potential minimum return (45% of FCF) to shareholders of $1.35b in the form of share buybacks and divi and represents a 30% yield!!!
It should be the case that the leverage ratio will now be < 1 and it was stated that shareholder distribution would be at the higher end of the 45%-75% range however I think it would be prudent to distribute 45% and use the remaining $1.65b to pay down the debt as next years FCF will probably not be the same bonanza I am expecting to see FCF ~$1.5-1.8b and have a stable and incrementing dividend with bags of cover is the way to go.
