I have been burnt so many on new Pham drugs............sometimes they fail the last stage 3 of testing....then crash you lose 80% overnight...

Major European stock markets traded higher premarket on Thursday as investors are waiting for several data to be announced. UK National Statistics will release the data on industrial production and trade balance as well as on the gross domestic product of the country. Also, Statistisches Bundesamt Deutschland is expected to report the data on the Germany’s trade balance.

The FTSE 100 was up 0.64% at 7:30 am CET, while the DAX rose 0.98% at the same time. The CAC 40 jumped 0.20%.

The euro rose 0.06% against the dollar at 7:31 am CET, changing hands for $1.10864. The pound was down 0.09% concurrently to $1.23804.

Insurers were under the cosh, with Direct Line, RSA and Aviva all sharply lower after they suspended their dividends due to the pandemic and following pressure from the Bank of England. Legal & General, which confirmed last week that it will pay a 2019 dividend, was also in the red.

No company including Banks can give forecasts/guidance now. Making ALL companies uninvestable for prudent investors now
So your observation doesn't apply as all companies including the loan companies are in the same boat.
They can only access the state of companies NOW....

The scheme is changing all the time
At first the Government stated that a normal loan should be applied for BEFORE their own loans are offered.
They have removed that ridiculous pre-condition.

Banks are under more pressure to deliver, as just 4000 loans have been granted so far, less than !% of the funds available by the Government.
Further enhancements to the Governments Business interruption scheme could be announced soon...
